Ananta just confirmed in their 1st Quarter Financial report, their intention to do something different to Wuthering Waves, Genshin Impact, Arknights Endfield, and more importantly, Neverness to Everness. I quote: "We believe that players always have a strong demand for innovative and refined experiences, and the key to a product's success is not the release window, nor how many competitors there are. The key lies in whether the experience is unique enough, good enough, and whether it can bring value to the player. We'd rather take the time to do things right than rush into releasing a mediocre product. Last but not least, we don't consider Ananta to be a traditional anime-style game. Our goal is to achieve a breakthrough in the open-world city genre. LOK makes it crystal clear that Katara did everything she could to help Korra before Aang restored her bending. Katara was already the greatest healer in the world and understood blood bending better than almost anyone alive. If normal healing or even blood bending could have restored Korra’s bending, she likely would have done it. The problem is that Amon wasn’t simply blocking chi paths the way a chi blocker does. He used advanced blood bending to permanently disrupt a person’s bending connection at a spiritual and neurological level. It mimicked energy bending without actually being true energy bending. Katara could probably understand what happened, but reversing it was another matter entirely. That’s why Korra’s restoration required something beyond physical healing. The Avatar Spirit of Aang when Korra was at her absolute lowest moment, she finally opened up spiritually and Aang was able to restore the severed connections directly.

A lot of fans misunderstand how chakra affinities work in Naruto. A shinobi inheriting a specific chakra nature from their parents is possible, but it is NOT a strict genetic rule where the child must copy the parents’ main affinity exactly. Naruto’s natural affinity was Wind Release, yes. Hinata was never shown using Lightning Release either. But that doesn’t mean Boruto couldn’t naturally develop Lightning Release on his own. In the Naruto world, chakra nature is partly hereditary, partly individual talent, and partly shaped by the shinobi’s own chakra composition. We’ve already seen plenty of characters whose affinities differ from their parents. For example: - Tobirama used Water Release while Hashirama’s signature ability was Wood Release. - Asuma had Wind Release while Hiruzen mastered multiple natures. - Sasuke inherited Fire Release from the Uchiha clan but naturally developed Lightning Release as one of his strongest affinities. So Boruto having Lightning Release isn’t really contradictory to the lore. In fact, it actually fits his fighting style extremely well. Boruto is naturally fast, technical, adaptive, and precision-oriented. Lightning Release complements that perfectly because it enhances speed, piercing attacks, mobility, and rapid combat reactions. Naruto’s fighting style relied more on overwhelming stamina, raw chakra volume, and endurance which aligns more with Wind Release and shadow clone warfare. Boruto fights smarter and sharper. Naruto fought louder and heavier. There’s also another interesting possibility people overlook: Boruto inherited chakra from BOTH the Uzumaki and Hyuga bloodlines, while also being exposed to Six Paths chakra remnants through Naruto. That mixture could easily produce unusual chakra traits or affinities that differ from either parent individually. And honestly, Kishimoto has always treated chakra affinities more like tendencies than hard biological inheritance laws. So Boruto using Lightning Release isn’t some plot hole. It’s just the next generation developing differently from the previous one, which has always existed throughout Naruto’s lore.
