Are there really any Nigerians building wealth by focusing strictly on a single business or job?
I’m curious. 🤔

There is no award for starving in silence. If you are struggling, drop the pride and ask for help.
Also, we need to kill the misconception that you must move out of your parents' house immediately after university. That pressure is a financial trap.
If your home is peaceful, stay there. Use that free rent to find your bearing, build a high-income skill, and save aggressively.
Move out when your wallet is ready, not when social media tells you to.

The current cost of antenatal registration in a standard Nigerian hospital is around N70,000 to N500,000 depending on if you opt for a government owned or a private hospital. And mind you, that is JUST to register.
We haven’t even included the mandatory lab tests, ultrasound scans, routine drugs, transport fare, and the cost of maintaining a healthy diet.

I think more people need to understand that successful people do not just come out of nowhere; it takes years of hard work that no one sees to get to a certain position.
The same goes for wealth building. It takes time, but we have been so tied to the idea that you can get rich quickly.
It takes years of honest hard work and consistency to accumulate a certain amount of success.

Before being Head of Design at Chocolate City at 18, I had worked 3 jobs. One as an Intern at Cregital, then at Genii Games which I did simultaneously as Creative Designer at myToddlr. At 19 built a startup called Voomsway with my current MOmsi co-founder, it was like Uber, but for long distance travel with vendors like Libra Motors and GIG.

You can also live this life in your 60s, but the decisions you make today will determine if you do or not.
If you’re in your 20s, follow these steps
Start saving at least 20% of your total monthly earnings.
When you have enough, start diversifying and investing in things you totally understand. Do not jump on Ponzi schemes.
Wealth building takes time, especially if wealth is not handed down to you at birth.
