As a student if I want a reliable phone I can quickly charge and use for long hours with peak durability and there's 600-700k on my hands, I'd be foolish to touch an iPhone

@Kokox1x @JORMUNGAND_rr Yh the Chinese smartphone makers have been killing it lately but the software aspect has been lacking for a while. The have huge sensors but they barely beat samsung and apple flagships with smaller sensors and let's not talk about their selfie cameras. They lack that polish.

There are a lot of quality value for money midrange phones(read Chinese phones) if you guys can look beyond what is marketed to you Especially if you're someone that's performance focused

I just confirmed that @MTNNG steals data from their users‼️‼️💔
I’ve been having suspicions that MTN have been stealing data because of the rate at which my data finishes so fast even if I don’t download anything
So yesterday by 3:52 PM I bought 11GB data for 3500 naira
I put my phone on power saving mode so no app in the background will be able to use data
I didn’t download or upload any videos and I’ve been using my phone lightly.
I felt like all this wasn’t enough so i decided to download an app that tracks my data usage
This afternoon MTN sent me a message that I have just 4GB of data left
Checked the app and saw I used only 3GB from the 11GB I bought yesterday
Now my question to MTN is this
If I used 3GB from 11GB that means I should have 8GB left
Why do I have just 4GB left?
Where did my remaining 4GB go???

@arrakunrin Benchmarks are not the same as real world usage.
Play the same game on both, stats show that the iphone runs hotter and runs hotter faster and throttles while playing on lower resolution than the dimensity 9500. The dimensity even outperforms snapdragon in actual games

The basis of my arguments were that the midrange phones I initially quoted are not as good as an 11.
If you’re comparing flagships, compare flagships.
If you’re comparing midrange phones, you compare them.
The midrange phones that were originally listed do not have a superior chip to an iPhone 11 because most of them use Mediatek and long term usage isn’t feasible. The only thing they possibly have over an iPhone 11 is the battery capacity
Comparing a xiaomi 17 ultra to an iPhone 11 Pro Max is nonsense.
And I’ll put it to you that the best smartphons you can buy now are the Samsung S26 ultra and iPhone 17 pro max. Nobody that wants value for money and productivity is buying a xiaomi or Redmi when they can afford proper and better phone
