I wouldn't even really call it is a surprise, but the committee gives the nod to @HailStateBB for a host spot over Arkansas. I preferred Arkansas' overall body of work + H2H, but am just fine with the MSU choice. I love that the committee rewarded @WVUBaseball for an A+ season.

But one team looks drastically better as of late, has won 9 more Q1 games, and just finished runner up in sec tourney after beating two good teams. Oh and beat MSU 2/3 immediately following those Stetson loss

People also forget that Mississippi has the highest percentage Black population in the nation, and both of our SEC universities have among the highest percentage among power conference schools. (Mississippi State has the highest) In a lot of places in Mississippi, we live together well and share the same things. It's a dumb narrative to paint of Mississippi tbh
