OBJECTION: "Jesus couldn't be the Messiah because he did not fulfill Jewish prophecy!"
ANSWER:
Ancient Jews did not all expect the same messiah; there is no single understanding of the Messiah in Judaism. There have been multiple understandings. There has even been an expectation of more than one Messiah. The authors of the Dead Sea Scrolls, for example, expected 1) Messiah ben Aaron of the tribe of Levi and 2) Messiah ben David of the tribe of Judah. Some in rabbinic Judaism also expected 3) Messiah ben Joseph from the ten northern tribes.
We are principally interested in Messiah ben David, so we can set the other two aside, but in some Jewish writings there is also the heavenly Messiah. How is he to be related to Messiah ben David?
There are many theories about this Messiah. Some sources say he will be King David himself; others, a descendant of David. Some say he was born around A.D. 70 and went to live in seclusion in Rome. Some indicate he would be a warrior and expel Gentiles from Israel. Others indicate he would be a man of peace and have a reign that embraces Gentiles. According to some, the Messiah would reign forever, but others indicate he will suffer and even—as in 4 Ezra—die and be resurrected.
This diversity of views reveals that there are many ideas about the Messiah in Judaism. Anyone, therefore, who says that Jesus could not be the Messiah because he did not fulfill Jewish prophecy, either reveals that he does not know the scope of what Jewish sources have said about the Messiah or is deliberately concealing what he knows.
How can we navigate this maze? We can make a series of distinctions regarding predictions about the Messiah. The first distinction is between what the Jewish scriptures say and what other sources say. A second distinction, within the Jewish scriptures, is between passages where the literal sense of the text clearly predicts the Messiah and other passages. Clear messianic prophecies:
-Speak of a future ruler
-Identify him as a descendant of David
-Portray him as an ideal ruler or as ruling in an ideal age
A text that does these things contains a messianic prophecy in the literal sense of the text—what the human author was trying to communicate.
But Jews and Christians recognize God as the ultimate author of the scriptures and recognize that he is aware of things the human authors were not. God can and does put additional meanings in the text that are not obvious on first reading. These are said to belong to the spiritual sense of the text, and both Jews and Christians have recognized that the spiritual sense also contains prophecies of the Messiah: giving us another category of messianic prophecy.

@dawahxdialogues Are you drunk? The verse YOU QUOTED says that if someone speaks in the names of other gods, that "prophet" shall die. Al-Lat, al-Uzza, and Manat were pagan goddesses. Muhammad told his followers they could pray to these pagan goddesses. Yes, Moses would have executed him.

@Minute_Aspect @BekeBjjd58603 @GodLogic_GL It’s up for you as a Muslim to prove exactly WHEN, WHERE, and HOW every single manuscript became corrupted both old and New Testament. Then you must explain WHEN, WHERE, and HOW apostolic succession and oral tradition became corrupted. We’ll all be waiting
English

@KoleKinleyw1 @BekeBjjd58603 @GodLogic_GL Nah we're not the Christians. That line doesn't work on us. We actually know that your books were corrupted. The Torah given to Moses isn't the forgery that you guys call Torah today.
English

Muslims, is this perfect? Muhammad said this marriage is from Allah, by the way (Bukhari 7012).
Demonic.

Canyon Mimbs@CanyonMimbs
Islam is perfect. There is zero reason to leave this beautiful religion.
English

@Minute_Aspect @BekeBjjd58603 @GodLogic_GL Actually it does. Surah 7:157 has every Muslim in a dilemma. If our books are entirely corrupted then Islam is false and bye bye Islam. If partially corrupted Islam is still false and is built on a logical fallacy (circular reasoning)

English

@korrathetaymi Korra you need to retire because this is bad. Surah 7:157 puts you in a dilemma because if entirely corrupted then islam is false. If partially corrupted then islam is still false and islam is circular meaning it's built on a logical fallacy

English

Can I see a verse where the Quran ENTIRELY confirms your books? It’s funny because our book ENTIRELY CORRECTS your books too, it’s called GENERAL CONFIRMATION. It reminds me of that one verse, where is it? Oh yeah:
Matthew 23, where Jesus says concerning the Pharisees, “So you must be careful to do EVERYTHING they tell you. But do not do what they do, for they do not practice what they preach.”
Wow, is this a ABSOLUTE confirmation? The same Pharisees who didn’t believe Jesus was the Messiah, let alone God… Give it up, man. 😂
GodLogic_GL@GodLogic_GL
The most obvious false religion of all time. The Quran WHOLESALE confirms our books as true (Surah 4:47 / 2:85), then blunders by contradicting them. S. 2:85 condemns any partial/general confirmation, btw. Also, he tried saying "Muslims repost" so that non-Muslims wouldn't repost this and use it to critique Islam😂😂😂
English

@dawahxdialogues Thanks Itachi for burying islam and showing to us and your muslim friends that muhammad is a false prophet. God establishes an ETERNAL covenant with Isaac's line that only true prophets will come from. Anyone outside this line claiming to be a prophet is a false prophet

English

Based on the criteria given in deuteronomy, Muhammad ﷺ would be considered a true prophet of the true God because he ﷺ :
1. spoke in the name of the God of Abraham, Isaac, Ishmael, Jacob, and all the prior prophets (peace be upon them all)
2. he ﷺ only professed true prophecies.
So according to the Old testament, Jews & Christians have no reason to reject Muhammad ﷺ ‘s prophethood, and this will be an evidence against those who see it and don’t accept it!

🔺Here’s a clip of @muslimorthodoxy admitting that Christianity was not spread by the sword in Egypt.
This directly contradicts many apologists in the Arabic world who constantly push the false narrative that Christianity was spread by the sword, just like Islam. Interestingly, he also says that spreading an ideology by the sword isn’t even a bad thing.

English

@GodLogic_GL god commanded to kill 32k little virgin girls familes and married them in bible

@korrathetaymi Cure for society? More like the disease for those that have sight because it makes you go blind

English

Islam really is the cure for society, and that’s why everyone attacks it. A blessed man from the desert of Arabia 1,400+ years ago came as a mercy from God to give the final revelation so we wouldn’t be lost as mankind. Unfortunately, many people chose to stay lost. May Allah guide people to the truth before it’s too late. 🤍
English

@MagomedB01 @muslimorthodoxy Justin Martyr for some reason links Jesus as being YHWH of the OT. He also says "there is no other God" meaning he clearly believes in one God but is implying Jesus is God but distinct from the Father. Almost like he's an early Trinitarian with more dull language than modern

English

@KoleKinleyw1 @muslimorthodoxy He meant by name you genius, how stupid can you even get? ✌️🥀
Can you tell us where this story is in your scriptures which Justin attributes to the disciples who wrote it? Or how he quotes the Mark 10:18 saying "Why do you call me Good? None is good ,but my Father in heaven" ?

@MagomedB01 @muslimorthodoxy Justin also argues Jesus is YHWH and the angel of the Lord that appeared to Abraham in human form as seen in Genesis 18 & 19. He also states Jesus is the one that spoke to Moses from the bush. Then he states that the commander of the Lord's army that Joshua worshiped is Jesus

English

@MagomedB01 @muslimorthodoxy Now I absolutely thank you for bringing up the Mark argument because Jesus just buries your argument and you just showed all of us including your muslim friends that Jesus is YHWH. Jesus calls himself not only GOOD, but he's also called the shepherd which is linked to YHWH

English

@MagomedB01 @muslimorthodoxy The light of the Holy Spirit is radiant like a fire. That's why the Holy Spirit is linked with it

English

@MagomedB01 @muslimorthodoxy To be baptized with the Holy Spirit is to be baptized with fire metaporically and this is in our Bibles so thatnks for pointing this out
