Last Thursday, we presented our latest results at the 2024 NWA-ORC ProMiSe General Assembly at the @VvGinformatie. We got the opportunity to get together and brainstorm with the scientific staff - industry and research partners 🔬. We finished by visiting the Museum Psychiatrie.

Another week, another poster session 😎 Yesterday, Jurjan, @Sara26295 , @SaminaFaria and @WillemijnJane presented their preliminary data at the @DondersInst Poster Session! Thanks to all the neurodevelopment curious minds who came by their posters ☺

It was a very sucessfull meeting (we even managed a group pic ) with lots of inspiring sessions. Thanks to all of you for the discussions! 🤩

On June 13-14, some members of our lab attended the #DNM24! Our PhD candidates @WillemijnJane and Jurjan, and our MSc students Anouk and Bastian presented their projects' latest preliminary data. 🧠

It's a wrap on this year's Medical Embryology course! Since April we have been exploring the wonders of developmental biology with the help of our TAs😉 We want to thank everyone who made it possible and most importantly a fun and rewarding experience 🤩

Time flies when you're having fun🤩! Our Medical Embryology lab practicals covering the development of the brain🧠, cardiovascular system🫀 and body cavities (a sneak peak of our TAs preparation bellow😉), respiratory system 🫁, and the urogenital system were a success!

After dinner, we had a very fun Bob Ross painting workshop🧑🏼‍🎨 We might change careers now😉

The neurodevelopmental brainstorm day is back! On Thursday we had our yearly lab retreat with reflections on how our projects are going and what our strengths are and an interesting Data Visualization Workshop on Raincloud plots held by @lcd_lab_donders.

Thanks to the organizers for such a day! Looking forward to seeing you all again in our last meeting in Pisa later this year 🤩

On Monday we had our midterm meeting for @Serotonin_h2020 in Copenhagen! It was great to catch up on ESR's projects in the poster session. Plus, we had pleasure to hear about translational research in psychedelic research and attend a workshop on reproducibility in research🧠

Recently, Jurjan was interviewed about his PhD project, which delves into the pathogenic mechanisms of Lesch-Nyhan Disease (LND). It was fun and fulfilling to raise awareness about LND and neurodevelopmental disorders in general 🧠 Check out his interview in the comment👇🏼

Yesterday it was our second practical for Medical Embryology! 😎 Students observed the main external morphological changes during bird development in in vivo embryos from chicken eggs 🐣. Here is one of the preparations (a 36h post-fertilization embryo is depicted):
