I had the greatest experience of my life three days ago when i witnessed the thomalai seva. 40 mins right at the feet of lord venkateshwara. You go there thinking you will ask for a million things but for 40 mins i was in a trance. It is an experience that every hindu should have once in his lifetime. This is just after the suprabhata seva and they adorn lord Venkateshwara with flowers. By far one of the most moving experiences of my life. Also to think that this has been going on un disturbed for 1000 years probably. That is a civilisation for you!

Samay Raina’s stand up special is terrific. Excellent writing. Excellent performance. And this is my first time watching him. I wasn’t a viewer of Latent. I had only seen a few clips floating on the internet before it shut down. I also personally don’t enjoy crude comedy or roasting as a format.
Having said that, his special is really good. It is emotional, funny, deep and reflective. Once you go through a trial by fire, you come out a different person, and for an artist / creator / builder, it is more often than not, a blessing in disguise.
