I had an hour to myself this afternoon & spent it in my garden with a cup of tea.
Just sat there watching this years baby bumble bees learning the delights of delicious lavender! English & French varieties.
Buzzing about with pure Bee-JOY!
There was, what seemed to be, a whole flock of blue tits on my bird feeders & bird bath. Again JOY!
I had the book I am currently reading "Hunting the Falcon" by John Guy & Julia Fox. (some inaccuracies & quite woke) but I barely read a page. The JOY in my garden was too irresistible.
& yes, this joy is the summer in England.
Then I remembered the mess we are in & went inside...
