Okay I'll tell you.. microwaves only actually have one power. It's either ON or OFF. The power setting is a setpoint for the ratio of time it will spend ON during the set cook time. Setting it to 50 (%) means a 1 minute cook time will spend 30 seconds ON and 30 seconds OFF
