@Brochacho_Kun @fandompulse You’re wrong, the creator said he had a multiple versions of the story when he made the comic. The show can be any one of those
English

@fandompulse When adapting a book story to tv or film, creative freedom should go out the window. It’s an adaptation.
If you want to take creative liberties with preexisting material, make a story “based on” whatever material it is. And don’t call it an adaptation.
English

Invincible Season 4 wrapped with a 100% critic score on Rotten Tomatoes and an 87% audience score, the show's lowest in four seasons.
Season 1: 94% audience.
Season 2: 90%.
Season 3: 93%.
The backlash centers on Episode 4 "Hurm" (original non-comic material), a pre-season gender-swap of a named legacy character, weak animation, and a finale abortion scene framed as the emotional climax of the season.
The Viltrumite War arc is still some of the best superhero animation running. The audience score says that isn't enough to cover the other choices.
What's your Season 4 verdict?

@Koomberi @wizyakuza_art You just wanted to crash into an argument when you spotted someone with a valid an elaborate framework.
English

@NunyaBidness_Ho @wizyakuza_art Art is the story of build up behind the Artist, if a parents child draws a house with their crayons that will mean more to the parent than if they printed a perfect image from AI because the crayon version shows a development and deliberate art choice combination
English

@wizyakuza_art is it for say...are you promoting your brand with it to sell other things...
then it's not art...it's a commodity...something a printer and an AI prompt can do in an hour...
English

@CountAtlas @klashnikop Hi I’m a bookkeeper, does your friend sell the AI app?
English

@klashnikop Good degree and good money in it, I got a friend charging £300 a month for bookkeeping from a single client and does a lot of the heavy lifting with an AI app he vibe coded, but got to nurture a loving relationship with anything you're working on to attain favourable results.
English

@Koomberi @TundeOgunfolu @gunnerking_14 Why would it be trendy to hate Arenal specifically? What does every other fanbase have to gain from doing so?
"I can name clubs with far worse fanbases" - Please do. Mind you, you'd have to prove they are as arrogant with as little success as Arsenal does.
English

“This is why everyone hates Arsenal fans”
Is exactly what everyone would be saying if this actually was Arsenal fans but it isn’t….so there is “nothing to see here”
The next person that wants to tell me there is no Forced agenda against Arsenal may as well save their breath🤡🔔🔚

@MarioJoos Hmm interesting, seeing videos as cumulative views in this way seems useful in general as someone who doesn’t post enough
English

The problem about clipping isn’t the clip itself, it's the way short algorithms push content. Here’s how it works and how to abuse these systems:
Context: Between YouTube, TikTok, and Instagram, there’s a race to try to get as many people to keep creating content so that there’s enough content for viewers to consume. One method to keep people motivated to keep creating is to give them what they want, and for the most part that is views.
So when you upload something on these mediums, you’ll get like 200 to 500 initial views. Feels good, right? Sure. But there are 2 big problems here.
Problem 1: This system is extremely vulnerable for mass uploaders who create many accounts
First of all, let’s talk about mass uploading. Let’s say you’re a live streamer and you make a piece of content (a stream), well you may get about 10k people tuning in. Not bad. But here’s where you abuse the system. Either you have 30 shorts accounts, or you work with a clipping agency.
30 accounts across 3 platforms, that’s 90 accounts. Let’s say that you’ll get 500 views on average per clip (considering under- and overperformers), well that’s 500 * 90 = 45,000 views across a single clip.
But you don’t post once, you post 3 times a day, and let’s multiply that by about 30 days in a month. That’s 3 * 45K * 30 = 4,050,000 views every single month (IF YOU DON’T GO VIRAL).
Why wouldn’t you be clipping? Now these are just sample numbers, you can go wild on this one.
Oh, and duplicate content? That’s easy to work around at the moment.
Problem 2: It’s a race to see who can give the most without sacrificing too much quality
So the problem that platforms may be facing is that most of this content may not be the best quality. But here’s the thing, why does it matter? If the consumer keeps watching, because there’s nothing better to watch as all the original engaging content is being drowned out anyways, then there’s nearly zero risk, unless the other platforms have better algorithms. Note, right now each of the algorithms works too similarly.
But where’s the race to the bottom?
If you’re TikTok and you see Instagram kinda “guaranteeing” an initial 200 views, what do you do? Well, let’s just give people 300 to 500 by default. Oh, but what about YouTube? Oh no, we’re losing the race, let’s boost that to 1,000. At least until we’ve got enough creators who prefer our platform over the others.
Long story short, clipping isn’t a problem. If anything, you should get onto it as well. I’ve even had people I work with cut down their 20 minute video into 2–3 minute shorts and then re-upload them everywhere. It didn’t seem to negatively affect their long-form in a significant way.
This should explain the issue. What about the solution? That’s a whole other discussion.

"Content creation isn't about being interesting or engaging anymore... doesn't matter you have 70,000 clips you go anywhere you want" Devin Nash opens up about the dark side of internet clipping and how it's undermined what true content creation is
English

@DamiDina @kareem_carr Says the discourse I see on this App, most of it places people firmly in one or the other camp. Even the discourse I see at work
English

@kareem_carr @DamiDina Exactly, I’m not a fan of how currently, you’re either pro AI or anti Ai, and no in between
English

@DamiDina I like the tech for what it is. The hype is just insane.
English

@UltimateFC1995 @TundeOgunfolu @gunnerking_14 Because it’s trendy to hate Arsenal, that’s it. It’s not complicated. I can name clubs with far worse fanbases but no one cares because it’s not as cool as hating Arsenal
English

@Koomberi @TundeOgunfolu @gunnerking_14 The hate came from the boasting not the other way around. No other clubs, including clubs with actual trophies (not just boasting about participation awards), boast as arrogantly as Arsenal.
Explain why every other fanbase hates Arsenal?
English

@UltimateFC1995 @TundeOgunfolu @gunnerking_14 Yes.
If you hate other clubs as much as Arsenal they’ll start boasting back just as much, you’re just too busy hating on Arsenal to notice
English

@Koomberi @TundeOgunfolu @gunnerking_14 Again, did any of the teams in those teams that won those games i highlighted celebrate like Arsenal do?
Arsenal fans STILL bring up that 5-1 win now. I've seen it being boasted about all this season. Do you see that from those clubs? No you don't.
English

@UltimateFC1995 @TundeOgunfolu @gunnerking_14 You don’t need metrics to know that every big team celebrates big
English

@Koomberi @TundeOgunfolu @gunnerking_14 So you need a quantifiable metric for everything you do. Can't help you with your problem there mate.
English

@UltimateFC1995 @TundeOgunfolu @gunnerking_14 I want whatever eyes you have cause they seem to see all celebrations in the world and measure them against each other fairly
English

@Koomberi @TundeOgunfolu @gunnerking_14 Do you need a quantifiable metric for everything you do?
Or are some things just discernible with you eyes.
English

@TundeOgunfolu @UltimateFC1995 @gunnerking_14 Also how do you even measure celebrations anyway 🤣🤦♂️
English

@UltimateFC1995 @gunnerking_14 Talking like a dummy. Is there a rule against how much a team celebrates a win or you’re just another robot who processes garbage in/garbage out?

It's not that I think it's a big deal that AI can't do certain things. It's just the process of finding out it can't do something is extremely annoying.
First you have to write these prompts, which take you out of the flow of what you're doing and are kind of tedious. Then you have to wait a random amount of time, could be 2 minutes, could be 2 hours. Then you have to test out whatever it ends up giving you, and a lot of times whatever it gives you is obviously wrong in a way that the thing could easily have checked itself but doesn't, until you type "Can you check this?"
And then you have to start the cycle all over again.
To make things worse people blatantly gaslight you about how smooth the process is, so you can't even trust that what people tell you is going to work is actually going to work.
It's just an extremely frustrating workflow.
English

@reasonable_ear @csubagio @kareem_carr No, within a formal system 1+1=2 in any world. My point is that AI belongs to that world of formal systems in a way brains do not. Brains can be modelled mathematically, but they are messy processes, that dont map onto maths as neatly as engineered constructs like AI do
English

@Koomberi @csubagio @kareem_carr How very postmodern of you. You are free to believe it, but math as a social construct is quite a fringe idea. Presumably then you believe that there are possible worlds where 1+1 does not equal 2?
English

@reasonable_ear @csubagio @kareem_carr Math doesn’t actually exist, it’s one of the methods humans use to make physical phenomena deterministic i.e. countability
English

@csubagio @kareem_carr Brains are physical objects, they produce physical phenomena. They take physical inputs and produce physical outputs. Calculators fulfil this same criteria. Calculators may not BE math but they definitely DO math. What do brains do if not math?
English

@Kizuayay @wstgoat7 @bartonovopolis @dkmsully Only the first 2 seasons had a huge gap, the last 2 were close together. Also a lot of people hopped onto AoT when it was already 2 seasons in
Anyway, the OP is right either way, slower release dates is objectively worse because you lose memory and hype even if you watch it
English

@wstgoat7 @bartonovopolis @dkmsully You literally have the pfp of a series that took over a decade to adapt with its final season being where it peaked in popularity
English

@stinkyfart2000 @wstgoat7 @bartonovopolis @dkmsully I’m having to watch season 2 again cause I forgot what the hell happened. As I’m watching it, It feels like a whole new show, that’s how much time as passed - I’ve also lost the hype I had on the initial watch
English

@wstgoat7 @bartonovopolis @dkmsully The jujutsu kaisen anime started in 2018 and only has 3 seasons and it goes viral every other month, stop with the excuses
