The government has spent $1.97 trillion dollars more than it has taken from you in taxes so far this year alone And yes, that’s worse than last year, and the year before, and the year before that

Interest payments already consume 25% of all government revenue. If the massive deficit spending continues, there will only be money for interest payments and nothing else! No social security, no medical, no defense … nothing.
Wall Street Mav@WallStreetMav

Our annual US budget deficit is going to be over $2 trillion per year going forward. We pay over $100 billion per month in interest on the national debt. $1.2 trillion per year. That is about 25% of all government revenue going to pay interest on the debt.

In a 2016 speech, Fischer succinctly summarized the evolution of modern macroeconomics. An economist returns to his alma mater after 50 years and discovers that the exam questions are still the same. “Ah yes,” he is told, “but all the answers are different.”

Stan Fischer has died. The legendary and influential economist, former vice-chair of the Fed, #2 at the IMF and governor of the Bank of Israel, was also personable and funny. A few passages from my obit: wsj.com/economy/centra…

@CharlieK_news I question whether @finkd or @jack ever had any above average talent. It appears more likely that they were just intelligence agency pawns that sold their soul for a guarantee of success they could never have achieved on their own. Unlike @elonmusk

Get rid of all Lobbyists, allow congress to override pardons, mandates, executive orders the same as a veto override. pardon Snowden and Assuage, federal referendums, term limits, no trading for anyone that could ever possibly have a conflict of interest, All taxpayers money will be public knowledge. anything redacted will have to be approved by a bipartisan committee of the senate and House including spending by CIA, FBI, Defense Department, Homeland security, any money given to a state can be spent any way they want unless it is for interstate or international matters. All powers belong to the state other than national security, and international and interstate matters. State sovereignty above all else if it doesn't violate the constitution or National Security.

I view the call for peace between Russia and Ukraine to be one of the most important developments today. Why are the European heads of state invited to these peace talks? Because of treaties. When nations stop fighting each other—as in WW II—it is because they have come to terms both sides can accept. If those treaties are broken, it invites more war. I think that is exactly what has been happening in this war between Russia and Ukraine. Broken treaties. What do you think?
