Some of the criticism on Cody Gakpo is way too harsh. He’s a good player. Can he improve? Of course. But the bigger issue for LFC isn’t him it’s no competition in his position. When Díaz was around, Gakpo had to fight for his spot, played with more hunger, and was sharper off the bench. That fire is now not there.

@SkySportsF1 Yes but Lando let Oscar box first to protect him against Charles! The first pit stop was Lando’s he played the team game. If Lando hadn’t done this he would have had the quicker stop and been further away from Oscar and closer to Max! It wasn’t a straight swap positions.

@SkySportsF1 Lando pitting 2nd was a strategic call to get an advantage incase of a SC. He knew if he pitted 1st there's a strategic door open for Piastri to jump him and Max so he wanted that for himself. The racing gods exposed him and @McLarenF1 favouritism.

@McLarenF1 Norris elected to pitch 2nd for a strategic advantage to give himself a chance to win in case of a safety car. That backfired. He wanted to cut the deficit. If Oscar had pitted 2 and there had been an SC can you imagine the pain? Mclaren favors Lando- end off! @SkySportsF1
