I still have some updates planned for this but I am also now developing my next small title. I had big plans, but other plans turned them into smaller ones :D Can't wait to share my next project. It shouldn't be long!

This means that Idle Fields, my silly little idle game that started as a side project, now has 500k total views on YouTube. That is insane! This game has achieved so much, even getting a bundle with the Plantera which is what inspired me to make this in the first place

Idle Fields has recently seen a massive spike in players, breaking its highest player record from 66 last year to 74. This all happened because of the spring sale and a youtuber who uploaded a video at the same time. That video now sits at 100k views🤯 #gamedev #indiedev

I need to add controller support to Idle Fields and it means remaking lots of UI because I was a dumb dumb and didn't think about doing it correctly the first time. Having an amazing time (I am not)

@JonasTyroller How do you find the scripting part of it? I found it really odd compared to other engines. I can't quite figure out why I feel that way. Might just be because it's new

Can't quite put my finger on what about Godot makes it feel so fun, but my current first guess is just: speed and responsiveness, hot reloading and tweaking stuff during runtime out of the box -> fast iteration speeds

Playing around in @godotengine recently made me realize that working in an engine that is fun to use is actually worth a lot.

Graphics difference aside, which do you prefer? A preview square to show what you're hovering over? Or an outline of the object?🤔

@TShelfman 3 is subtle. It doesn't stand out too much nor does it take away from other parts of the world. 4 to me has way too much going on
