Keep getting asked the same question why I haven't already found a new team. I'm going to put something into perspective by giving you a list of active players that were signed to tier 1 teams (Top 10) in 2022 that are still currently all free agents in 2025. (In order of best rating *Sourced from Champions Tour North America Stage 2: Challengers*) -yay -NiSMO -bdog -BcJ -gMd -moose -Boostio -stellar -aproto -curry -Victor -dapr -flyuh -mitch -JonahP -Will -Derrek -Kanpeki -seven -Rossy -neT and this is just 2022... we have what? 30-40 Paid Valorant slots for the entire region? (25 for just the NA VCT Americas teams) All of these guys could be monsters on the VCT stage but it doesnt matter. The game is random and any one of these players could be picked up or dropped by an org because there isn't any actual talent building / scouting programs that have been proven to succeed in the franchising system. It's always been about winning NOW and it always will be with the strict 8-10 game schedule per year. Teams will continue to recycle players (at random it seems) and we as players will be the ones who will most likely be put back out into the real world because Valorant esports is not what it once was.

I am bit more emotional today than other days but I really need to vent this out here. The team at FunhaverGG from production down to the staff have been incredible to me all year and last year. We worked our ass off over 14 days to design and develop an entire deck to operate Challengers 2025 and so much thought and care was poured into it. When I got the email we didn’t get the slot, I was crushed, but I trusted that the person who got it would deliver better than I could. Mind you, I am still new to this whole TO-ing stuff. Then to see the 2025 Challengers League and the absolute lack of anything for the players, the teams, the “fans”, it really fucks with me and makes me irrationally angry. It’s carried throughout this year but I’ve finally really identified it and it’s been weighing on me recently. I love this game, it came at a time I wasn’t 100% sure I’d find a passion to do something again and it reignited that back in 2020. Seeing it so mistreated and so tossed aside fucking stings man. I look back at our content plan and our ideas and I just get immensely depressed that we got passed over for someone who just doesn’t fucking care. I know there are people who care at the TO but they aren’t listened to either. I have been fortunate that even making the mistakes I made growing up, I was able to find a way to support myself and follow what I wanted to do. So being able to do that for the entire country and the aspiring pros who want a chance at playing on stage for a trophy is an absolute honor. But. The feeling of just being absolutely defeated and knowing what could be and what can never be due to things outside of my control fucking sucks. There’s no real point to this and it all kind of resembles stuff I’ve said here and there but man it really is hitting recently. I want to do amazing things for the scene and for the players and my staff and the people who just want the ability to go pro. I will never stop doing what I can and will only try to find a way to do more for you all.
