After reading the rainbow fish, our class decided to create our own rainbow fish and brainstorm one thing about ourselves that is special or something we are good at! Now we are underwater for the week 🐠

Today in virtual kindergarten we learned about Terry Fox and the Marathon of Hope. Here are some of the Terry Fox posters we made! Next step, our walk or run. ⁦@EmmaKingES

Focusing on the positives, connecting back to our mental health & the cool virtual things they have experienced. Going around saying one thing that rocked, one thing that will stick with them, the teacher can have a rock and stick present for the puns🪨🌴 #pblchat #edchat5414SoMe

Q3: Students’ Growth Mindset How do you teach students to have a growth mindset and that one learns from their mistakes? #ElemMathChat

I think this answer would go along with Q6. How would revise your thinking impact your student's mindset? It could change the outlook that the students have as well. Help them shy away from math anxiety. #elemmathchat

This could also potentially change the environment of your classroom. When the students feel comfortable and they can be vulnerable there is so room for growth. Both personally and as a whole group. #elemmathchat #edchat5414SoMe

When we think of a "mistake" we think something is wrong, or something bad happened. In our teaching, if we are able to focus on "revising your thinking" instead of mistake, it is positive& the students wouldn't feel "bad" for making mistakes #elemmathchat #edchat5414SoMe

Q4: Students’ Growth Mindset Instead of focusing on the mistakes one makes, what if we focus on Revising Your Thinking? How would that change your teaching? #ElemMathChat
