Early signal ⚡: upadacitinib achieved higher day 3–7 response (84% vs 54%, P=.02) 📈. By week 14 & 26, clinical and steroid-free remission were similar 🩺📊. Colectomy-free survival ~80% at day 98 in both groups 📉🏥. #GITwitter #IBD #MedTwitter

Therapy now spans PPIs 💊, swallowed topical steroids 🫁, step-up elimination diets 🍽️, and dupilumab 🎯 (approved for EoE). Non-EoE EGIDs remain rare + under-studied 🔎no approved drugs yet 🚧.

EoE isn’t “rare” anymore 📊: meta-est. 2017–2022 incidence ~6.8/100k & prevalence ~74/100k 🌍, with projections to ~111/100k by 2037 🔮. Diagnostic delay (5–10y) ⏳ drives fibrosis risk (~5%/yr).
