Quick review of Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 on PS5: - Direct port, NOT a remaster - Exact same BO2, now without hackers for the first time in many years - Fast matchmaking - Campaign still the exact same and is goated, Mob of the Dead also goated and of course, the classic MP - Load times are instant, genuinely strange to see the game always load so fast - Emblem Editor is in the game but the player count is gone from the menu - PS4/PS5 matchmaking seems to be separate but you can join each other’s lobbies via friends list - UI looks low res on 4K screens, wish they upscaled it - The resolution of the game feels low, doesn’t seem like it was upscaled to 4K on PS5, might be 1080P - $40 game price with $30 Season Pass is ludicrous pricing. The PS+ special price is far more reasonable and should’ve been the standard price Obviously this being BO2 it will sell a ton since its a beloved game but there are caveats and the price is a huge barrier to entry to re-experience a classic, the season pass should not be sold separately but that’s Activision for you. I will check out BO1 next, hope this helps you make a decision on if you want to pick it up or not!
