Delhi horror.
A small Holi moment turned into a lynching.
> The victim: Tarun Kumar, a young 25 yr old man from Delhi.
> His 6-year-old niece accidentally splashed Holi colour on a burqa-clad woman
What should have been a trivial misunderstanding escalated rapidly
> Eyewitnesses say a group gathered and began attacking Tarun and others
> They were allegedly beaten with lathis, iron rods and even a stone slab
> Family members say the Hindus present apologised repeatedly
> Despite this, the assault continued
Tarun collapsed.
But according to the ground reports, the attackers kept beating him even after he had fallen.
He later succumbed to the injuries.
A child’s accident.
A man lynched.
No religion, no disagreement, no misunderstanding can justify this level of violence.
Justice for Tarun Kumar must not be delayed.
