@Capt_Wrecked Elections in Canada are run by Elections Canada, which reports directly to Parliament, not the government of the day. It's why Canada's elections are independent of government interference, very important to trust in outcomes, unlike USA. But a problem is being pointed out.

@bennyjohnson I think what happened is the Libs played this perfectly. I have spoken to many folks who swore they would never vote for Trudeau again. So what did they do? Face Swapped him for Carney, all the same cabinet, all the same policies, but NOT Trudeau. And sadly it worked perfectly.

If you think the Canadian election is rigged, your brain has been hijacked by too much internet. We have paper ballots, ID is checked, and scrutineers from each party oversee the counting in every riding. The Conservatives lost fair and square, and have only themselves to blame after running an uninspiring campaign for two years.

Liberal minority. A small consolation. For anyone questioning the validity of the election, please don't. Our electoral system is incredibly fair and secure. No one cheated. No one rigged the election. I don't like the outcome, but I'm grateful that I live in a democracy.
