The majority of the ‘mitigating’ issues, could have been mitigated themselves:
- no wingers: they sold Diaz, loaned out Elliott
- 2CBs all season: they sold Quansah
- multiple RBs: Quansah could’ve played there, and they poorly bought a RWB.
Frimpong has been playing RW, with Jones/Dom at RB. Meanwhile Harvey Elliott is wasting away at Villa. Make it make sense?
You can talk about how poor our midfield has been.. meanwhile Tyler Morton is over in France running games. They sold him and to add to this, they now want Adam Wharton for £80m - they’re near identical players.

#LFC 🔴 🚨 Arne Slot has asked Liverpool’s hierarchy for clarity over a new contract and the terms it would involve. The head coach is understood to feel it will be difficult to push through plans to sign new players this summer without greater certainty over his own long-term future at the club. The Hierarchy have held back on talks for a new deal since November and have doubts on giving the Dutchman a new deal. He believes he can win the Premier League for a second time if he gets the chance.
