There are two main issues here. First, in India, a large number of people visit temples. If security allows devotees to stand for darshan, many of them spend 2–3 minutes there. This slows down the line and creates problems for people waiting behind. Second, pilgrims also deserve to be treated with basic dignity by the security personnel. Overall, temple darshan management needs to be rethought to balance smooth crowd movement and respectful behavior toward devotees.

श्याम मीरा सिंह जी, जेल जाये बिना काम चल गया. आपको बधाई. मगर यह कहानी केवल नोयडा की नही है. धीरे-धीरे पूरे यूपी के हर शहर में यही स्थिति हो रही है. वेस्ट यूपी के अधिकांश जिलों का यही हाल है. मीडिया पर पाबंदियों थोपी जा रही है. पुलिस आफिस कैंपस में मीडिया बैन, थानों में मीडिया बैन, सड़क पर भी मीडिया बैन करने की कोशिशें हो रही है. आप कैमरे पर कुछ भी करो. पुलिस और खुफिया के लोग मोबाइल खोलकर खड़े हो जाते है. थानेदारों के खिलाफ बड़े अफसर कुछ भी सुनने को तैयार नही है. फरियादी भटक रहा है. थानेदार जो कह देते है, वही ब्रह्मवाक्य है. सिंपल मोबाइल कॉल्स पर बात नही हो रही है. कहा जा रहा है व्हाट्सअप पर ही मीडिया से बात कीजिए. धीरे-धीरे आपातकाल की एक चादर सी हमारे ऊपर डाली जा रही है. यह कौन कर रहा है? सरकार या फिर सरकार की नजरों में अपने नंबर बढ़ाने को बेताब कुछ अफसर. जो भी हो, नुकसान जनता का हो रहा है. जनता और सरकार के बीच संवाद के माध्यम तेजी से घट रहे है या फिर खत्म से हो चुके है. सब कुछ एकतरफा है या एकतरफा हो रहा है. मीडिया को खलनायक बनाकर अफसरशाही सरकार की चहेती बनना चाहती है, साथ ही मीडिया और जनता के बीच बातचीत के विकल्प खत्म कर रही है. जो भी हो, सब स्वीकार है. 21 सालों में बहुत बड़े-बड़े धुरंधर शाह आये और चले गये. जो है उनको भी जाना है और जो आयेगें, उनकी तानाशाही का भी स्वागत है. अपना ख्याल रखियेगा.

आज मैं नोएडा में बिजली बिल/LPG पर ग्राउंड रिपोर्टिंग के लिए गया था। तभी नोएडा पुलिस ने मुझे रोका और पूछने लगे कि क्या कर रहे हो आईडी दिखाओ। मैंने पूछा आप रिपोर्टिंग में हस्तक्षेप क्यों कर रहे हैं? इसी बात पर बहस हुई। इस पर नोएडा पुलिस मुझे थाने ले गई और मेरे खिलाफ पुलिस से कथित बदतमीजी की FIR की। थाने में जिस तरह से पुलिस ने बदतमीजी की उसका जिक्र भी क्या करूँ। फिलहाल मजिस्ट्रेट के सामने पेश करने के बाद मुझे जमानत पर छोड़ दिया गया है। लेकिन कितनी अजीब बात है, रिपोर्टिंग करने पर पुलिस आती है, आपके काम को रोकती है, और ऐसे धमक दिखाती है जैसे हम नागरिक नहीं पुलिस के ग़ुलाम हैं। पुलिस से काउंटर सवाल करना, पूछना, गुस्ताखी है। एक सामान्य सी बात के लिए पूरे दिन थाने में बिठाया। मुकदमा किया। बदतमीजी की और परेशान किया। आप सबके समर्थन के लिए आभारी हूँ, आपके समर्थन की वजह से मैं बाहर आ सका हूँ।
