Congratulations to the student-athletes of the week! 📚 🤸 Josh Karnes played a crucial role in @PennStateMGYM 2025 NCAA Men’s Gymnastics Championship run, culminating in a fifth-place finish, the best team finish since 2016. At Friday’s preliminaries, Karnes did a floor, pommel horse, rings, and parallel bars routine, all of which hit and scored a 13.433 or above to help the team to advance to Saturday’s finals. The Erie, Pennsylvania native went on to a sixth-place finish at the championships in his first All-Around performance of the season, earning him All-American status in the event. The senior also earned All-American honors on the parallel bars, moving his career total honors to seven. 🏌️‍♀️Drew Nienhaus paced @PennStateWGolf at the B1G Championships finishing the week tied for 15th in the 105-player field at Bulle Rock Golf Course. Nienhaus opened the week with a 1-under, 71, and entered Sunday’s final round in a tie for fifth following an even-par, 72, on Saturday. Nienhaus concluded the week 2-over, 218. It marks the highest B1G Championship finish for Nienhaus in her four year career and is the best individual finish for a Nittany Lion since Sarah Willis finished tied for sixth in 2021. #WeAre
