Florentino knew what he was doing with that Press Conference. The only way he could talk about Real Madrid (on field issues) freely like a fan & a president at the same time is in an interview, not a press conference. People say that was damage control. Those of you saying that only read the press conference on MadridXtra & Madridzone or watched some 2mins clips somewhere. If you followed the interview, he said it even before starting that he’s not there to talk about the football on field matters. From the start, he was coming for the media because he feels they are taking advantage of the bad performances to say the club is in shambles, and also making it look like it’s about to explode. Now, you might say “the on field issues should be the focus”, which could be right, but you’re speaking from the angle of a Real Madrid football team fan. He is looking at it from a President’s lens. In his head: - Although the football team is struggling. - The Basketball team is good. - Real Madrid girls are doing okay as a new team. - The finance is perfect. - We have the most valuable squad in the world. - The youth team still working in same system as always been. This is why he’s furious, cause the media is making it look like it was the end of the world, and that is a trap, a trap to make it seem like he has lost his touch and he’s put the club in shambles. Rumors started coming out that he had cancer, making it seem like he can’t handle the club anymore, which is a campaign for him to leave. That’s why he asked for re-elections, whoever is running the campaign for him to leave or whoever wants to run “when” he leaves can do that now, if you win he leaves, if not, let him do his job. It’s easy to laugh at whatever he’s saying and call him names because you expected him to talk about Tchouameni fighting and we losing to Bayern and truly act like the club is in shambles. The thing is that’s exactly what the media wants him to do, to make it look like the club is in shambles when things are fine. He did the opposite, they didn’t see it coming. To Florentino Perez, regards the football, he’s not panicking, he ‘knows’ he can solve the puzzle, it’s not the first time. Taking longer, but it’s not impossible. He’s not panicking like the media wants him to. Now, since the old guard(3peat team) is gone, the mentality is gone. Who changed the mentality that later helped build the 3peat team? Who laid the foundation? JOSE MOURINHO. You can say, “he’s lost his touch”, I think that too, but that’s not Perez’s target, his target is to bring back that winning mentality to the team. A lot of people are thinking he’s coming to discipline the players, no, he’s coming to restore and remind them what the club is about. In the interview, spoke as a fan, not just the President. Said what he thinks of Mbappe being the best player as some fans say and also said Vini won us the last two UCL as some fans also say. Talked about the booing, fight issues, getting a new player, Negreira case, Alonso’s arrival and why he failed and many other things. You cannot see him do that in a Press Conference, doesn’t make any sense. After that Press Conference - Tebas has spoken - Barca put out a statement - As the press conf. was on, the president of ABC & Relevo(the media house Perez was blasting) resigned. - Their reporters put out a statement. The whole of Spain was alert😂 So, for those of you that’s saying the interview was damage control, means you don’t know Florentino Perez as much as you thought you did. Just stick to Madridxtra and Madridzone and just enjoy the show.

@K3N3_X You are rather not truthful to yourself as long as he is here and doesn’t drop his pride and selfishness , 2018 World Cup will be the only highlight of his career

We won the UCL immediately Ramos and Varane left, does that mean they were the ones holding us back? And before you come here saying both won it before, that doesn’t come to play in this scenario because you people are insinuating that once a team win it immediately another leaves it means they are the problem. You all are not truthful to yourselves.

- Vinicius won the UCL with and without Karim Benzema - Kylian Mbappe couldn’t win the UCL with Messi and Neymar - Ousmane Dembele won it without Mbappe and currently in another final. Trust me, You’ll need new pictures of that 2018 World Cup if PSG wins B2B UCL 🥱😂

If you believe Vini’s outburst in the clasico ruined Madrid’s season, then you shouldn’t argue when others say Mbappe was the sole reason PSG couldn’t make any strides in Europe, cause he did to Tuchel and Enrique

@K3N3_X Abi. He’s a generational player; a reputation earned through statistics-anomalous output and consistency over the years. The problem here is some Madrid fans think Vini belongs in that bracket too. We all need to be VERY serious.

No coach in heaven and on earth will rotate Mbappe. I repeat, no coach dead or alive will rotate Mbappe. Is that a good thing? I don’t know. But it is what it is. Let me say it again…No coach dead or alive will rotate a player like Mbappe. It’s like rotating Messi/Ronaldo😂😂
The Agenda Man@mrblancovii

Lies! When Alonso arrived he promised there will be rotations for everyone to keep a healthy competition and the whole team bought that narrative until he proved he was a biased liar by rotating everyone else in the team except Mbappe, Vini was the one to step up against his bias

@K3N3_X Sit down and watch him well, is not good enough to build a team around, he is lazy, need tons of chances and shots to score, his passing is terrible, can’t keep the ball either. You are defending him blindly

@K3N3_X All of una just dey insinuate rubbish. Make Mbappe run and sweat for the team and see if the team wont rally around him. His body language indicates he’s just about himself alone. He’s not a better team player than vini in my book

This was the beginning from start. The club made Mbappe the face of the club which is natural, so it was like a demotion for Vini. If Mbappe came before or immediately Benzema left, then Mbappe would have been the face without Vini even been the franchise player at any point. But the fact that Vini was the face of the club for a whole year and then a bigger player comes and takes that mantle, that’s a hard pill to swallow, this is one of the reasons Vini didn’t take those substitutions well. No big player will take it well though. You’d have to understand Vini’s angle. He didn’t handle the situation well though, handled it really badly from the beginning till the end, but going from being the franchise player to another person getting that mantle, not an easy pill to swallow. Once again, blame the board.
OLA ⏳@A_kinola02

The problem at Real Madrid is simple. Vinicius Junior was the face of the club before Kylian Mbappe arrived. Even when Jude Bellingham was performing better that season, the club and fans still pushed Vini heavily for the Ballon d’Or. But Mbappe arriving changes the hierarchy automatically. No matter how much Vini tries, Mbappe will naturally become the face of the project. Any major spotlight or individual award attention at the club will likely shift toward him and honestly, I understand the tension. No one wants to spend their whole career living in another man’s shadow.
