After a few days of reflection, just want to say how thankful I am of the coaches, players & staff in our program at Spiders Basketball. The season may not have ended the way we wanted but I sure am proud of how we fought until the end. Thank you Seniors & Go Spiders!

Our last & 8th CHS Spider Senior Spotlight is on 6-2 PF, Tyrel “Rel” Weatherspoon. Rel has been a 4-year player & 2-year Varsity guy in our program, & the ultimate team guy & energy of our locker room. Tyrel plans to attend Wingate to play football & he can play some ball!

Our next Spider Senior Spotlight is on 6-2 W-F, Noah Joseph. Noah is a 1st-year guy in our program, & has worked extremely hard to earn his spot in our program. This young man plays ball & balances his academics while a student in our tough IB program @ CHS. Proud of you Noah!

The next Spider Senior Spotlight is on 6-4 PF, Daeshon Glanton. Daeshon is a 4-year player & 2-year Varsity guy in our program. One of my favorite players to coach, Daeshon plans to go to Catawba College for Physical Therapy & his favorite memory is his 1st day at Concord!

Next Spider Senior Spotlight is on 6-4 versatile G-F, Kyzen “KC” Coleman. This talented guy is a 3-year Varsity player & starter in our men’s basketball program. Kyzen’s future is getting certified in welding or HVAC & winning a state high jump title in Track. Boy can play!

Our next CHS Spider Senior Spotlight is on 6-1 SG Lawson “Law Dawg” Childress. This 2-year Varsity player has been a nice addition to our men’s basketball program. Lawson’s future plans are to attend UNCC & study sports analytics, & he has really enjoyed his transition to CHS!

Our next Spider Senior Spotlight is on our 6-6 F, Jabari “Big” Byrd. Bari is a 3-year player in our program & 2-year Varsity starter. The young man has signed with Sandhills CC to play basketball at the next level. His favorite player is Kevin Durant. Proud of you Bari!

Spiders B-Ball Senior Spotlight features 6-0 G-F, Antonio “Tony” Brown. #33 is a 4-year player in our program. Antonio plans on going to a 4-year college, his favorite sports memory is making this year’s football state playoffs & favorite player is Dirk Nowitzki. Thank u Tony!

Our next Spider Senior spotlight is our first-year men’s basketball manager, Zamir “Z” Boger. This young man plans to attend college & play football at a 4-year university. “Z” appreciates all CHS staff, his fond memory is just the bond amongst the guys, & he’s a fan of LeBron.

Our first Spider Senior spotlight features our 4-year Varsity & all-conference player, 6-1 Guard Jayden “JB” Beyan. JB’s future plans are attend school to get a welding certification, he appreciates Coach Cleare for life lessons, & his favorite basketball player is Steph Curry.

Had a busy week at Spiders Basketball during exams. Several of our players went holiday shopping for 3 youth in the Concord area as part of our Angel Tree Christmas community service project! More than just basketball in Spider Nation!! ⁦@_CHSathletics⁩ ⁦@ConcordMiddle
