@thorpeheath Congrats! I wonder if this is the first skill originated by a woman that was named into the men's code. We've seen it on the women's side (Markelov/Khorkina, hop full) but I can't think of it going in the other direction.

The honorary “Thorpe”! MAG now has a recognised leap in the code of points! A straddle jump with 360° turn. B value and counting towards the balance requirement. Probably one of my proudest moments in my career. This one was for you little Heath.

@MAGRambles However, if it is an inaccurate, inflated E score, there could be other influences in play. (E. G., Home advantage, audience influenced bias, within team order bias, reputation bias, etc., to name a few.)

@MAGRambles I don’t necessarily agree with the philosophy, but in this case, leniency at the lower levels is written in the rules.

@MAGRambles The USA Men’s Developmental Program dictates in the rules at the Club Level that judges are only allowed to take one deduction for each element performed. Likewise, the scale for deductions in the USA MAG Compulsory levels are -0.1 (small), -0.2 (med), -0.3 (lg), and -0.5 (fall)

@Pamchenkova Having the individual judge scoring data would also be incredibly helpful for research investigating the evolution (and reduction) of various types of judging trends and biases.

@zbhzjy Because it hasn’t “officially” been published anywhere by the MTC and only mentioned in the FIG courses.

I said it too early. Half of the 2022 WC TF PH routines are worse than Su Weide. Su Weide who doesn’t PH specifically is better than half of the AAers in 2022.

@zbhzjy Yeah…. 2023 Quals is a slog… 😮‍💨 2022 is even more disheartening… the A’s and B’s go on forever.

I have been going through 2023 WC qualification pommel horse routines for 2 weeks now and I have only reached initial R today. There are about 140 routines😵‍💫
