@AMK_Mapping_ The recent strikes that russia wants to sell as revenge for the hit of civilians was probably the planned strike that would have happened if ukraine attacked may 9 victory parade.. So the strikes would have hapened either way..

@AMK_Mapping_ Also how western media can confirm this? I mean in Ukraine they can confirm the deaths as they have reporters on the ground. Russia has thrown out western journalists out of the country.

Reuters back with their incredibly biased headlines. When Russia kills civilians, they are blamed as the cause in the headline, and the casualty counts are mentioned. When Ukraine kills civilians, it's "Putin accuses Ukraine of" the attack, the casualty count isn't mentioned, and it goes on to change the topic to potential future Russian retaliation. Hot take: both sides commit war crimes, and both should be represented equally in headlines.

The civilian death toll from Ukraine's drone strikes on a student dormitory in Starobilsk, Luhansk Oblast, has risen to 10. 48 others were injured, while 11 others remain missing. Earlier, the Ukrainian General Staff claimed that the strike targeted a headquarters of Russia's elite Rubicon drone unit.

NATO war game ended with Russia cutting off the Baltics in 24 hours — because Germany froze politically while the US stayed out. Retired Ukrainian Gen. Romanenko, playing Russia’s commander, says NATO’s biggest weakness was not troops but hesitation, FP. 1/

@tommasocerbara @machinef95 @AMK_Mapping_ my point is what does it matter anyway? Tell me what is making the difference in who did start ignoring it? On 11th its over on paper anyway and lets see if trump still cares afterall.

@Kt3035 @machinef95 @AMK_Mapping_ You contradicted yourself twice in two comments. Before, the ceasefire was accepted only by Russia and the US, now also by the Ukrainians, but the problem are still the Russians because they don't respect it, ignoring that Ukraine itself doesn’t respect it either

@machinef95 @AMK_Mapping_ fine there is a ceasefire which both sides seems to not uphold so whats the point then? Why even call it a ceasefire then? Even if they agreed to it for trump in the end it does not even change a thing the war will just continue.

@Kt3035 @AMK_Mapping_ That was not the point. You said there was no ceasefire. Which is simply wrong. Both sides haved agreed on Trump's proposal. So officially, there's an agreed ceasefire in place until May, 11.

@OtterRambling @alexandertperry As far as i understood it was a unhabited planet. How they were to weak? in the show it was depeicted that they only could take this planet trough a "honorful battle" my original point is still valid im that time they would have just conquered a peaceful race.

@Kt3035 @alexandertperry No, my view is they are too weak to take the planet for real, plus they didn't know it existed until the Fed told them about it. Either way I really really liked this episode I thought it was imo the best Klingon episode we have had since DS9.

“Vox in Excelso” is a real gem and the first #StarTrekStarfleetAcademy episode where I said to myself: I think I might love this show? This is, in my opinion, the best Klingon episode since DS9 and the high stakes drama totally works in the context of a grounded character episode

@OtterRambling @alexandertperry So you agreeing here to my whole point. Klingons would have taken by the 120 years a planet by now. Conquering is part of their culture even if it wpuld be a battle "without honor" they would conquer the planet regardless and would turn it to a honorful victory on their history

@Kt3035 @alexandertperry To me they are tragic victims in this new universe they have created. The episode, imo, does get Klingon society right here. They would rather die out 'with honour' than accept help. This way, suggested by a Klingon, allows them to honourably take the help in their way.

@OtterRambling @alexandertperry I hear you but that makes them sound like tragic victims waiting for the cadet to give them permission to survive. It robs them of agency. If their traditions are killing them, I wanted to see a KLINGON realize that and lead the change, not Jayden choreographing a play for them.

@Kt3035 @alexandertperry Personally I think they were saying, not that Klingons were at risk of going extinct because of their traditions, but that the remaining Klingons felt that their traditions were all they had left of their culture because there were so few left.

@thedannistar @alexandertperry But that should have been happaned way way earlier for me it makes no sense to but such a developmemt post burn it should have been post picard. Now it just shows that klingons are still not willing to overcome their warrior culture so far in the future only Jayden could change.

No! I was absolutely sad about it, you’re supposed to be sad about it. That’s part of storytelling. And Klingons are all about theater. I think that was central to Worf’s plight throughout both shows. He grew up wanting everything to be real & honorable and the Empire constantly let him down.

@OtterRambling @alexandertperry And i get it Jaydens actions should show that klingons can overcome this warrior culture but he only cpuld do it by not beeing part of klingon culture it should show that all klingons can overcome this not Just Jayden.

@OtterRambling @alexandertperry I get your point but at this point they had for 120 years no homeplanet in that time they could not colonize a planet because of "honor"? Klingons were opportunistic before i dont believe they would go exctinct just because they stick to their traditions

@Electroversenet Living in Germany, I can confirm the stress. Storage is critically low (~38%) & the early Jan 'Dunkelflaute' did force coal to >80% to cover the gap. However, wind has rebounded massively since last week (~65% mix today).

A cold winter is exposing Germany's energy choices. Natural gas storage levels are dropping fast. In Bavaria, one major site is just 6% full While nationally, storage has slipped below 38%, a level officially classified as "critical". Household supply is protected, for now, but Germany's industry is not. Energy-intensive factories, particularly in southern regions, face shutdown risk. Renewables are not covering the gap. Low wind and solar output has pushed fossil fuels back to supplying the majority of Germany's electricity, with retired coal plants called back into action to save the country from freezing to a halt. This is what happens when ideology replaces energy security.

@Lunatic__Fringe @Electroversenet Grok actually agrees with me. Look at Image 2. 👇 It explicitly corrects the energy figure to "55.2 GWh... likely 55-70+ GWh range." Image 1 only says 17 GWh because you put that in the prompt. That's a prompt error, not a grid fact. You debunked yourself.

California has built one of the largest solar fleets in the world. Panels are strewn across deserts, rooftops and valleys, costing taxpayers billions of dollars. It was promised as the power of the future. Then the duck curve hit. Solar floods the grid during the height of the day, far more than California can use, so operators are forced to dump gigawatts of power. Then the sun sets and solar output collapses to zero, just as evening demand spikes. California then scrambles to fire up gas plants to keep the lights on,with billions more spent on this backup generation. The world's solar capital ends every day running on fossil fuels. A 24-7 gas grid would cost far less to construct and maintain than solar, and it would actually work 24-7.
