Next, I would recommend deploying this web server on any cloud provider. 1. Spin up a server instance and run your code. 2. Create secure routing rules. 3. Setup many such instances behind a load balancer. 4. Enable auto-scaling. 5. Setup a DB instance for the server. 6. Write a simple script to load test apis. 7. Pay that goddamn bill once, it's all worth it!! Stop knowing, start doing..

One project I would highly recommend, if you haven't done it already, is to build an HTTP web server from scratch. The server should serve static files, and as an extension, should allow you to define and serve APIs, like Flask. Use your favourite programming language, but build one from absolute scratch. It is a week-long project, but if you do it well, you will learn a ton of things, including, 1. what protocols really are and the HTTP protocol 2. writing a protocol parser - HTTP request lines and headers 3. creating TCP sockets, binding to ports, and listening for connections 4. reading and writing large data over sockets 5. how servers handle headers and the actions they take 6. handling multiple connections using threads and event loops 7. hadling different paths to serve static files 8. how to write route handlers to serve APIs Use LLMs, but make sure you understand the nuances. Trust me, you will have a great time building it, and more importantly, you will have a totally different outlook on engineering. You will stop thinking of something as blackbox and would start thinking of how X would have been implemented. If you are doing it, then all the very best, else, happy doomscrolling :)

Build a terminal-based RAG app in JavaScript that lets you chat with any PDF! Just upload your file and get smart, context-aware answers right in your terminal. Big thanks to @Hiteshdotcom and @piyushgarg_dev for the great teaching and guidance in this GenAI journey!

@spare_lucifer @striver_79 I don't think we need AI for such tasks. It will just add more complexity to the product. But But.. if you are suggesting that AI will analyse the performance of the user noting it's mistake points, understanding levels then suggesting problems to practice then it's a good idea

@striver_79 AI will suggest the user another Q of the same pattern. The Qs can either be of the same DS or the same Algorithm depending on what the user wants. Also the difficulty of the suggested Q can also be tuned depending on the time taken/ hints taken to solve the current Q.

I want folks to reflect on the logic which the government is following on the flow of information. 1. Indian news channels ran programming for hours last night reporting that the Indian Navy had been deployed and had bombed and destroyed Karachi Port. 2. Indian news channels ran stories that the Indian army had entered Pakistan. 3. Indian news channels ran stories that India has captured Islamabad. 4. Indian channels ran stories about suicide terror strikes in Rajouri All of this 'reporting' by major new channels was not just fake news but also inflammatory and provocative and clearly intended to ensure the very escalation (from the Pakistani side) that the Indian government has cautioned against from the outset. Earlier, channels described an Indian Muslim victim of Pakistani shelling in Poonch as a Lashkar-e-Tayyaba terrorist. Instead of firmly clearing the air with respect to this kind of dangerous reporting, the government issued instructions to Internet Service Providers across India to block access to The Wire — one of the largest Indian news platforms that has been reporting on the emerging situation with responsibility and restraint. The blocking order is unconstitutional. It is an attack on press freedom and on the right of every Indian to access information. It must be lifted immediately.
The Wire@thewire_in

The internet service providers are saying multiple things. We have learnt it is per orders of the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting.

Once you stop attaching your identity with outcomes, the journey becomes insanely enjoyable. This is because if you don't care about where you "finally" land, each step becomes a destination in itself.

Doubting yourself is how you increase the odds of making good decisions, but doing it constantly is the how you become habitual to never-ending anxiety. Doubt yourself, but schedule it. Outside of that brief reflection, live confidently and worry-free :)
