We have built a global plant level emission dataset for 5,000+ iron and steel plants, 20,000 processing units, by 17 processing routes, published in Nature today (rdcu.be/dmB8v). Emission lock in is stiff, early retrofitting is the key to keep 1.5C pathway with hope.
