Early Wednesday morning we shared a high conviction macro pair trade in our subscriber chat that probably still has upside from here, long SFRH7 @ 96.20, which we averaged down on Thursday, paired with short ES @ 6660. Here’s the reasoning:

Orderflow can be complicated, but it doesn’t have to be. Simple but effective read on $ETH from yesterday: If OI and CVD are rising but price can’t move higher, buyers are being absorbed by a passive seller. Demand is being met before price can move higher - often preceding the next leg lower. Same logic at the lows: OI + CVD rising and price refuses to go lower = a passive buyer meeting supply before expansion.

Day one @fantasy_top_ update: In DFS we have ownership %, which plays a key role in decision making. With fantasy top not having any sort of salary cap, you should think of ownership differently, but not completely ignore it. The amount you are willing to spend on your deck changes how you should look at this. I will give my perspective as someone who spent ~2.5eth on their starting deck. If we look at the highest cost decks, for me to be able to compete I want to put myself in a position where those top spending decks only have 0-1 card in common with me. When you are looking to place well and don't want to spend a lot of eth, being unique is important. With that uniqueness you want to maximize upside as much as possible. So I upgraded all the cards in my starting deck to epic rarity. I have a pretty good feel for the algo, and know who has the potential to preform well. It's not all about having a lot of followers & spamming the tl. Let's take a look at zac.eth. Pre tournament I purchased their epic card for .44eth. This replaced my epic max_the_plug card (which I then sold for .9 at the same time). .46eth difference in price for what to me were similar cards. I knew zac was super undervalued. What was their price downside? Even with a poor performance their price wouldn't have fell below .375eth (.015/common). Price & placing potential outweighed the downside by a wide margin. He ended up sending out a tweet last night that got amazing engagement. I don't think he would even need to tweet much more (if at all) to finish as a top hero for the tournament. Now if we go back to thinking about ownership.. I know none of the top spending decks would have a zac card, so it was a great opportunity to outplay them without spending the same capital. This is how I look at my entire deck. It may not be in the top 100 right now, but at any moment in the next couple days I know there's a chance one of them can surge up the leaderboard. And in return, I will as well. Due to the fact that the people in front of me have a very low probability of holding that same card. I personally like to avoid the mid tier priced common cards, as they don't offer me the upside I'm looking for outside the tournament. Everyone has their own playstyle, and one isn't necessary better than the other. I trust my process, so I will continue to play this way, and hopefully it continues to pay off. I'm not always going to be right. There will be tournaments where my deck preforms below expectations. With upside their comes a lot of variance. Yes, it is extremely easy to spend 15+eth on a deck and guarantee yourself a top 25 finish. But there are definitely ways to be a profitable player, even if you are working with a small stack. Also, don't waste your time spamming your heroes telling them to tweet. Will probably result in them tweeting even less. You chose to play them, so let em do their thing. Goldmilio
