@jeff_gluck NASCAR should change the rule to give an exception if you are doing the double. It would be clear for the one race weekend.

I think they'll go as long as they can with Larson and then he'd just be forced to get out. New NASCAR rule says he would lose all his playoff points for the entire season so he really has no choice if he wants to run for the Cup title.

@DGodfatherMoody @smclaughlin93 The timing of the announcement is the tricky part. Some back of the pack teams took the chance and pitted early, benefitted them, but the wee not the best cars. That being said SVB’s drive is what made that a great race.

@smclaughlin93 Imagine the allegations of favoritism from those who think it should have been called two laps earlier or later. Again, nobody on pit road started that race thinking it would be a 100-lapper.

Correct me if I’m wrong. But shouldn’t you just red flag the race when it gets dicey darkness wise? Then declare it, Rather then change the length of the race and effect the overall strategy of some cars? Look I’m just a guy on the couch drinking a coors minding my business, just thoughts.

@jeff_gluck It was a great race because the winner passed 17 cars in the late stages. If there wasn’t the pile up and the shortened race with the leaders not pitting early, I suspect this would be a different result. BTW I voted good race.
