🚨 Witnessing history — again! Right now, @kusamanetwork is executing one of the wildest moves in blockchain history: 21 pallets — including Accounts, Treasury, and Staking — are now being migrated from the Kusama Relay Chain to the Asset Hub, a process expected to take around 6 hours. No action required from users, but if you’re using DeFi dapps, check your project’s updates! Once it’s done: • The Relay Chain will become pure — handling only security & consensus. • Asset Hub will evolve into the new system mainchain, hosting user activity, treasury ops, and governance. • And this sets the stage for JAM, the next evolution of Polkadot. What changes after migration: • Governance & treasury will move fully on-chain — directly managing assets & even smart contracts. • Dapps will gain system-level access to assets, no longer limited by non-contract layers. • Treasury payouts, staking rewards, and ecosystem incentives will soon run automatically via smart contracts — the birth of a smart treasury.
