@UltraNick24 In a perfect world, Star Fox could have branching games similar to the Metroid series: one is pure classic rail shooting, and the other perhaps an expansive adventure type game, akin to, but not a copy of, Star Wars Outlaws.

My counter argument is that these exist because people are still very much interested in this formula. People aren't interested in Star Fox/rail shooters before because a game hasn't been made in a decade and the last game that was made was on a dying/dead console.

@UltraNick24 the problem is that most people aren't interested on rail shooters that much, they have limited gameplay SF64 was the exception back on N64 but a new one needs to introduce new dynamic gameplay modes ,people don't want SF64 again

The next Star Fox game just needs to copy the Star Fox 64 formula to get the franchise back in the limelight.
No gimmicks of Star Fox Zero and no open world dinosaur stuff from Star Fox Adventures, just a straight forward and upgraded rail shooter.
Simple as that.

Assault perfected the formula (orchestrated OST, unapologetic epic space opera, great multiplayer) and Zero bafflingly made everything worse.

My problem with this line of thinking is where does it stop
People have a problem with these characters wearing fabric costumes because of “realism” but fighting entire rooms worth of people is fine ?
You just gotta be willing to let the fiction be fiction sometimes

@NirvanaM1nd I agree with you BUT this works for Spider-Man without raising eyebrows because he’s super powerful. The reason some people (not me) scoff at Batman or Daredevil wearing spandex in movies is because they’re just dudes without enhanced physical strength and durability.
