Asian Americans, Native Hawaiians, and Pacific Islanders have been at the forefront of fighting for a more equitable and sustainable world. This AANHPI Month, let's recognize and celebrate the historical contributions of these communities to the environmental justice movement.

In many cases, white people who have been forced to assimilate have lost touch with their ancestral cultures and have been left with a sense of disconnection and loss.

This is a painful and traumatic experience, as people are forced to give up their cultural heritage and adopt the cultural practices and beliefs of the dominant group to be accepted.
