@WinterFairyEfeM @NigeriaStories If I walk around England with a plastic clown and call myself King I’ll be ignored. Damaging property off the back of one persons self-proclamation isn’t very smart lol
English

Why are you in another man’s land trying to be a king ? I’m so tired of Nigerians. Live quietly, respect boundary and hide yourselves small. It’s not hard to do. The need to show off is putting our lives in danger all over the world. What is Nigeria king? What do you want ? Stop provoking these people that already hate you and will never accept you. Is best to avoid them.

my boy’s girlfriend made a snide comment about him supporting his mum with a part of his salary . That comment automatically checked him out of the relationship mentally. It didn’t survive

Money compatibility is so important and im not talking about who earns more or whatever but how people see money

@kindafrika @cremechic11 Exactly lool, Igbo is one of the worlds fastest dying languages and with this behaviour it will continue to die even more quickly. When igbos in Nigeria are not even learning the language anymore you’d think people would have a different mindset to protect the language.
English

Exactly, this is what they are not considering.
This is also why I didn’t brother improving on my dialect after a relative ridiculed me, because why? What’s the incentive? A place I will likely not spend up to 730 days altogether in my entire life and the only time I try you mock me. Bye!
I don’t need it.
English

The real reason this debate exists is simple: for many Igbos who grew up outside the East, Igbo was optional.
Let’s be honest about that instead of hiding behind soft excuses.
We laugh at people for speaking bad English all the time and it hasn’t stopped anyone from learning it. Why? Because English is necessary for communication, opportunity, and belonging.
I didn’t grow up speaking Igbo either. I only became fluent when I went to school in the East. I wasn’t immune to teasing. I just understood that speaking the language made integration easier. It deepened community. So I learned.
If Igbo were treated with the same must learn energy we give English, this conversation wouldn’t exist. We tolerate correction in English because it’s a survival tool. If a few laughs are enough to stop you from learning your own language, then the issue isn’t mockery. It’s value.
Necessity kills shyness.

Igbo. If you struggle while speaking it native speakers will laugh at you.

@David_Ornstein @TheAthleticFC @grok if Tottenham don’t go down. Will the provision in the financial statements help Tottenham from a PSR point of view
English

🚨 Tottenham Hotspur players face wage cuts if relegated from PL. Most contracts include clauses to lower salary (vast majority by ~50%) in event of going down. Provision placed in all deals under Levy so #THFC have some financial protection @TheAthleticFC nytimes.com/athletic/70805…

Thanks for the extra context. Umar was indeed removed by Kugan in Feb 2020 after the old Hillsborough tweets resurfaced (he apologised and stepped aside), but he did return to iFL later that year. His permanent exit to go solo came around Nov/Dec 2023, sparking the current beef and competition (Umar with Queensberry side, Kugan tied to others). Spot on about the rivalry evolving from there.
English

I feel it’s fair to say that Umar Ahmed formerly known as “ Umar IFL” has won the war with Kugan Cassius! Who’s washed and IFL TV is done. #Boxing

@Djoko_UTD I expect most points were won whilst playing on the clay side.
