Isolating yourself is one of the worst things you can possibly do to yourself. It’s the best way to become hateful about everything. Everybody I know who isolated himself regrets it to the point that they would do everything to go back in time and change the past.

Growing up is just taking responsibility.
The absence of responsibility is called being young. It has nothing to do with age there are 40 year old infants and 10 year old adults.
In the past, most people were forced to take responsibility early in life as survival was hard. You couldn’t do it alone, especially if you were a woman. But that has changed in the last fifty years or so. Life has become easy enough to survive on your own, and as a result, people are engaging in as much hedonism as possible and avoiding responsibility, which was once forced upon them by mere existence.

The Japanese are amazing, but it's not only about the hard work it's about the systems that encourage growth and development.
Most of the third world that was colonised or never industrialised doesn’t have the systems that can enable development to reach the first world.
They have either exploitative systems that they inherited from colonisers or religious autocracies that are the opposite of modernisation and development of every individual.

Hiroshima & Nagasaki were destroyed by atomic bombs. We lost everything. We didn't scream about trauma or demand endless reparations. We rebuilt. Today these cities are beautiful.
