A história da silhueta do logo da Kappa Tudo aconteceu em 1969, na cidade de Turim. A Kappa, que na época ainda se chamava MCT, estava realizando um ensaio fotográfico para uma linha de roupas de banho chamada Beatrix. No intervalo entre os cliques, um homem e uma mulher se sentaram no chão de costas um para o outro e a iluminação do estúdio acabou gerando uma silhueta que chamou a atenção do fotógrafo. Ele registrou aquele instante e ali nasceu o Omini, como esse símbolo é chamado pela empresa, que carrega o conceito de igualdade entre homens e mulheres. Para quem trabalha com design, o que mais impressiona é como uma imagem capturada por puro improviso se tornou uma marca tão técnica e versátil ao longo dos anos. A Kappa conseguiu transformar esse símbolo em um padrão visual repetido e essa aplicação nas mangas e laterais das camisas, trouxe uma personalidade única para a marca nas décadas seguintes. É uma identidade que se tornou inconfundível, ainda mais pelo peso histórico em alguns clubes. A Kappa teve seus momentos áureos na Juventus entre as décadas de 70 e 90, Vasco nos anos 90 aqui no Brasil. Além de dar vida ao modelo clássico Kombat na Itália nos anos 2000, que inclusive teve seus 25 anos celebrados recentemente com o lançamento de novas versões.
