- Bonds moved with equities for ~80 years
- Hedged equities for just ~20 years
The belief that bonds hedge equities stems from the fact that the last 20 years
saw a negative correlation.

On the monthly chart, $GDX maintains a bullish structure with a series of higher lows forming against a flat resistance line, signaling accumulation and pressure building for a potential breakout.
Last week’s shooting star at resistance suggests short-term hesitation, as sellers temporarily stepped in, but with RSI holding strong at 59, underlying momentum remains intact.
While price may not be ready to break out just yet, the overall setup favors an eventual breakout, which could trigger the next leg higher once buyers regain control and push through resistance.

It's really incredible to see how 10yr US bond yields continue to trade up while inflation expectations and macro surprises trade sideways to down.
I have been wrong (for now), but there is a factor at play I don't get here.
What's driving the spike? Supply?
