Investment product idea: I fund 100% of new customer acquisition for 30 days. I get the total [V]alue (net of costs) of the cohort of customers I generate for 6 months. After that they are all yours... Free money right? Would you take the offer, yes or no?

@MorningBrew This data does not say most Americans are heading west. It says that LA is the most popular/desirable city on the list and it happens to be out west. Atlanta, Miami, NYC, Boston, and Baltimore are all east and make up a larger total % than LA. Most Americans are heading east.

What US city would you move to if money wasn't an issue? According to a new survey, most Americans are heading west (via Home Bay): • LA - 19% • Atlanta - 18% • Austin - 17% • Las Vegas - 15% • Miami - 15% • NYC - 15% • Boston - 15% • Dallas - 15% • Baltimore - 15%

Here’s my hottest take: “Product led” is worse than “feature factory” for the vast majority of B2B businesses. Most product managers would do well to swallow their pride and listen more to what sales is asking for.

@nathanbarry That may be true, but it's also a cost-saving measure. Free plans and the delivery associated with them comes with an actual cost in terms of tech/infrastructure regardless of whether a customer pays.

MailChimp just announced they are capping their free plan at 1,000 emails sent per month (or 500 in a day). Intuit must be pushing them to increase the free --> paid conversion rate.

@Spurgie31 @StoolGreenie I agree it would be a tough one to swallow. For sure. I personally would keep Luke, because with a move like I’m describing you’re out of assets to get a backup big to backfill for Time Lord and Al. (Although, buy out guys, I guess.)

@KyleEllis @StoolGreenie You’re right. Would need Gallo or Grant both not ideal options. Gallo looks bad and Grant loses a rotation guy right now that helps us win at times. OG is worth it likely but a tough pill either way

I spent far too long today thinking about a BOS/WSH deal that somehow includes the Dennis TPE, Pritchard, Kispert, and some sort of pick

@Spurgie31 @StoolGreenie I could be wrong, but I don’t think there’s a path to matching salary without at least one of Grant/Gallo. I agree 3 picks is steep, but I’ve read that’s what the Raptors are demanding to entertain trading him. He would take so much pressure off the Jays. I think it’s worth it.

@KyleEllis @StoolGreenie I wouldn’t really consider 2 “multiple” but I got ya. I would give them 3 picks but probably not 3 picks AND a rotation player. You can have picks and pp/Luke/etc

@Spurgie31 @StoolGreenie Blake can be replaced via the buyout market or guys who are currently unsigned. Jackson is a non-factor and Gallo is an injury risk. Losing Grant would hurt, but he’s going to want OG money next season and he’s a lesser talent. 3 and D wings are a premium. It is an all-in move.

I am constantly in awe of Walt Disney's brilliance. It's crazy to think about how this diagram he drew in 1957 is as accurate today as it was back then.

product people want a magical framework or process that solves everything. if anyone is promising you that, RUN! it does not exist. product is hard. there's no "fill in the blank" solution, but there are proven practices that, when done correctly always deliver results:
