The previous 9 years was proof of that.
1 great and another good year out of 10, with a whole lot of mediocrity in between, is not justification for bringing him back.
The performance, or lack there of, by the men's basketball team was why we didn't receive an invite to the PAC12.
Going into the Mountain West, it looks like this is a rebuild, based on what we have returning.
A fresh start, with a new coach that can elevate recruiting, NIL, attendance and player development would be the better option, IMO.
Or we can extend him and hope we go to the Big Dance in the last year of his contract or 2036 or so. Something like that. Continue to let him schedule cupcakes and get extensions.

Stanford Carr — lead developer for the new Aloha Stadium — told lawmakers Wednesday that “the project doesn’t make any economic sense” and the RFP process was flawed — although he & his partners knew that. Also said asking taxpayers for more $$ is an option to help fund project. State has already appropriated $350 million for the stadium and the difference to fund the rest of the stadium (now with a $650 million price tag) is supposed to be Carr and Aloha Halawa District Partners’ responsibility.
