@TylerGlasscock_ Wemby just looked slow and tired. He was passionate in huddles, but seemed slow to everything, and he's not a lazy player. So, wondering if he just doesn't have the legs?
This is most games he's every played in a year. And has been doing heavy minutes for last month.

Takeaways from the Spurs Game 5 loss vs. Oklahoma City:
- How embarrassing is it to play so lazy in the most important game of the season? The team look disinterested for 90% of the game.
- Victor Wembanyama, I have no words. You were utterly lazy. No rebounding, no aggressiveness, just shot chucking threes.
- Julian Champagnie kept both teams in the game. Lit up from three and was fried on defense
- Stephon Castle was probably the best player on the floor outside of his brutal start.
- But somehow you can make the case that Keldon Johnson was the best player on the floor. He kept the Spurs in it for a while.
- De'Aaron Fox has to get his offense going man. I understand he's hurt but he had plenty of good looks.
- Devin Vassell and Dylan Harper just disappeared. Dylan was terrible today.
- Luke Kornet was also unplayable again.
- Why did Carter Bryant get four minutes, score five points, and never see the floor again?
- I'm genuinely baffled at how you lay out a perfect game plan in Game 4 and proceed to do none of it in Game 5.
- The one time they played with energy and looked to control the pace they unloaded a 12-gauge into their foots. Careless turnovers, allowed offensive rebounds that turned into second chance points. Lazy.
- Once again they just settled for threes. 12/41. Lazy.
- Wemby shot 15 shots, he shot 15 in the first half in Game 4. How do you refuse to get your 7-5 center looks inside?
- Lost the rebounding battle and lost the game. That's been the trend all season.
- Tony Brothers needs to be investiaged.
- 17 FTAs for SGA.
- Cason Wallace can play FIBA rules.
- Mitch Johnson isn't allowed to challenge.
- Thunder role players once again took over this game.
- Eventually the defensive game plan will involve guarding Alex Caruso.
- Jared McCain had free eats all second half.
- Do or die game now in Game 6, and I have a bad feeling about it.
- But Air Corgi is still perfect, and he said Spurs in 7...
2-3. #PorVida

@breezypf6 @SpursCulture Roster needs changes, but the team has a lot of money open the next 2-3 years with rookie deals, and can make moves for another big without dealing Fox.
Could Fox be moved? Maybe, but it probably won't happen until Castle gets his 2nd contract.
English

@KyleLeith @SpursCulture Nothing elite about an inefficient guy that plays like he’s 5’9 who’s gonna make $200m the next 4 years while halting the progress of the #2 pick. But they will probably keep him and continue to get butchered in the non Wemby minutes 👍
English

@LegionHoops @kobehighlight Physical, but no grabbing nonsense that we're seeing today.
English

@breezypf6 @SpursCulture There is no backup guards the team trusts with the ball either.
When Fox was out the turnovers were out of control.
He's an elite guard that wants to play in San Antonio. He's a team guy who is playing injured.
Can disagree on his roster fit, but he's not getting moved.
English

@KyleLeith @SpursCulture Playing all 3 at the same time lmfao😂😂😂 when there’s no backup big and no size on the wings but im sure they’ll keep Fox and bring the #2 pick off the bench for two years in a row

@breezypf6 @SpursCulture None of the Spurs ever play those kind of minutes. More realistic they all play minutes in the low 30s.
Spurs can also play Harper/Fox together at wings. Castle is 6'6'' and can mix in minutes at small forward.
Basketball is much more positionless in 2026.
English

@KyleLeith @SpursCulture Imagine playing another season with Harper coming off the bench ridiculous while his peers are all playing 40 minutes a night
English

@JonesOnTheNBA OKC was 45-10 without Jalen Williams, but 13-12 without Mitchell.
I think it's safe to say Mitchell probably won't be back until the NBA finals. Williams closer to coming bacck.
English

@breezypf6 @SpursCulture Fox isn't moving. His contract doesn't expire until right before Harper rookie deal ends. He's not moving. Coaches and front office love the guy.
English

@SpursCulture Game ended when they didn't give the Spurs the challenge. Could of got game within 5. Instead it got out of hand and snowballed.
English

@spurs_muse 29 fouls called on them. That stands out the most. Refs really took over the game.
English

@NateDuncanNBA It's so hard to win at OKC. Can't blame refs entirely, but it definitely makes a hard task almost impossible.
If OKC shoots 50% from 3. They're almost impossible to beat.
English

Ball clearly off of Chet Holmgren’s foot.
Mitch Johnson attempts to challenge directly in front of the official.
Refs do not give us the challenge.
This sport is rigged.

@KevinOConnor Wemby about to rest... When he goes to the bench it's just terrifying.
English

@SpursCulture Never expected to see such a passive wemby. Disappointed.
English

@DFoxMuse Can’t remember Spurs missing so many layups in a game. Brutal stuff.
English

@hymnduncan Made 100x worse by having Reggie Miller defend the refs on every call while Turico looks like he wants to strangle Miller every time he speaks.
English

Legacy game by Tony Brothers and Co.
We never stood a chance
Nate Duncan@NateDuncanNBA
After 0 fouls in the first 4 minutes, there have been 25 in the next 20. Feels like the 2nd half of Game 3. And there are a lot of these that don't need to be called. There have been 7 bonus fouls so far, 5 by SAS and 2 by OKC.
