Prior to Jason Eck’s arrival in Albuquerque this year, the New Mexico Lobos football team had not won more than 5 games in a season since 2016. When Eck took over the team, UNM had the fewest returning players in all of the FBS. Now, Eck has his 8-win Lobos knocking on the door of a Mountain West title. He doesn’t get talked about by the national talking heads on TV, but Jason Eck should absolutely be a leading candidate for Coach of the Year. #GoLobos
