Interesting.
The great @RonanOGara10 said top level matches are won with numbers 1-10. “Get rid of scrums” I even said it and I love scrums. The biggest issue around scrums is that about 60% of time (probably wrong but close) the wrong call is made. A debate for another day over a cold 1 or 10.

I have always wondered why, if a loosehead's knee touches the ground in a scrum, it is a penalty. I would love to understand the logic around its existence as a law in the game

@jimhamilton4 @YouTube In my opinion, scrums have been over-refereed.On many occasions, the ball is at the no. 8s feet and the scrum has gone down.A reset takes place or a penalty is awarded when it’s not clear what caused the collapse. Move the ball away. Unless clearly moving forward..

Where are CVC?
The only way out of this is for the RFU to step in, which will mean bending the rules on relegation, maybe! Does that mean others will take take the same route if there is a safety net.
How quickly the landscape has changed, with the URC looking a good format.

Love(d) my cycling, so threw myself into domestique mode. An early bike change with the team leader, pulling on the front when I could, sitting at the back on climbs for a helpful push for the sprinters in the team, carrying bidons for Fraser-all added to the fun&the pain! #4ed

Silver lake (?) has a minority stake in the biggest brand in rugby, the All Blacks.
I agree though. These is real “potential” commercial value. I hate using the term“dinosaurs” but, rugby is Jurassic Park at the minute

@jimhamilton4 Agree UK (and Japan?) Jim, but presumably CVV and Silverkake, Messrs Rupert, Mazotti etc and savvy @usmlr business brains are investing in rugby, because they see its as yet unleashed real commercial value for increased TV rights and commercial revenue = F1 under Liberty Media

Just want to share some words on a true great.He’s a huge inspiration for me, I could only ever dream to lead the team like this man did.Younger you’re a true legend on and off the field and although this is goodbye on the field, look forward to sharing pint off it.

Saddened to learn the news of Tom's passing, I grew up admiring Tom’s performances for Scotland and the Lions.
When Tom came to Edinburgh as a coach, I wanted to learn all I could from him; my biggest learnings from Tom was the hard work and preparation required in rugby.
