@_UtdDeity Exactly! Carrick is accommodating Mainoo because of some certain things behind the scenes. Carrick publicly said Mainoo is an attacking type of player. But you play him in the 8 position! We've been playing with 10 men based on impact. Adding Dalot we play with 9

@shatadru_ss Bruno is still defensively aware than mainoo. The lad is not in any elite level for a club like Manchester United. Martinez has been the one covering up for the lad. Making the line breaking passes the job of an 8 was handled by a CB.

@KyleUTD01 Unc can’t hold the midfield on his own and Bruno is too creative a player to retain the ball as well as you’d want from an 8. We’d be overrun in the middle of the park. Mainoo’s shortcomings were masked with Martinez playing the ball up. Without him, Mainoo looks below average.
