Hot take here: It is completely ridiculous that pitchers have to “switch balls” and figure out new pitch grips when they are one step away from the Show. Train 5+ years to gain consistency and then all of a sudden you have to throw a different ball.

Yea I did. A 4 year commitment to get an education and play baseball at Vanderbilt. Had nothing to do with money. I’m not against players making money, but the lack of commitment and players deciding to leave mid season for other schools is a problem
