@BeastofOrem @MonkeyDFuu @ChillingDillo @prototype_53 @AuthorXoXiee In other words, respect the spirits and they’ll respect you. That’s the lesson Korra wanted to impart on the world
English

@MonkeyDFuu @KzBreakdown @ChillingDillo @prototype_53 @AuthorXoXiee Hey Bei didn’t care if it was the fire nation that burned his forest, humans are all the same to it and it kidnapped people regardless. And this was a “good” spirit.
English

@BeastofOrem @MonkeyDFuu @ChillingDillo @prototype_53 @AuthorXoXiee Tell me why he was mutated? Oh right, because he attacked the portal and the spirits were defending themselves. Sounds like he was the aggressor here…
English

@KzBreakdown @MonkeyDFuu @ChillingDillo @prototype_53 @AuthorXoXiee Riiiight completely harmless, unless you made one angry and they decide to permanently mutate you.

English

@ChillingDillo @BeastofOrem @MonkeyDFuu @prototype_53 @AuthorXoXiee It’s what I get for being stubborn as hell and having an extreme dislike for the spread of misinformation
English

@KzBreakdown @BeastofOrem @MonkeyDFuu @prototype_53 @AuthorXoXiee Im genuinely surprised youre still wasting time on that dude lol its obvious hes going to be dense on purpose
English

@BeastofOrem @MonkeyDFuu @ChillingDillo @prototype_53 @AuthorXoXiee You’re forgetting that said chemicals were already a part of the city and were proven safe. Spirits had been living in republic city for 3 years and had peacefully integrated into day to day life
English

@KzBreakdown @MonkeyDFuu @ChillingDillo @prototype_53 @AuthorXoXiee Oh, ok, so the fire break is spewing chemicals into the air that may or may not be bad for everyone in the city, and after the fire is out, they refuse to cose it?
English

@BeastofOrem @MonkeyDFuu @ChillingDillo @prototype_53 @AuthorXoXiee The portal is the firebreak in this analogy and you know it, you’re deliberately being obtuse now
English

@KzBreakdown @MonkeyDFuu @ChillingDillo @prototype_53 @AuthorXoXiee Did the firebreak open an interdimensional portal that the fire fighters decided to leave open?
English

@BeastofOrem @MonkeyDFuu @ChillingDillo @prototype_53 @AuthorXoXiee Okay, let me put it this way. A forest fire is raging because someone lit a campfire in the dry season. If firefighters do nothing, it will burn an entire city, but they instead make a fire break. Now only half the city is in danger. Who’s to blame for the damage?
English

@KzBreakdown @MonkeyDFuu @ChillingDillo @prototype_53 @AuthorXoXiee "I admit she did do it but it doesn't count." You seem to have a lot of excuses to why Korra never has to take any responsibility.
English

@BeastofOrem @MonkeyDFuu @ChillingDillo @prototype_53 @AuthorXoXiee It’s not a literal statement. They’re saying that if spirits live in the human world, there will be spirit wilds to house them. You can’t have one without the other. It’s also irrelevant, because the vines were still Unavaatu’s doing.
English

@KzBreakdown @MonkeyDFuu @ChillingDillo @prototype_53 @AuthorXoXiee Funny because the spirits, who are the vines say they are spirits.
English

@BeastofOrem @MonkeyDFuu @ChillingDillo @prototype_53 @AuthorXoXiee I never saw that quote, but I will concede that it was energybending. It doesnt really change that her creating the portal was the consequence of Kuvira’s actions. It was her weapon that went wild, and Korra had to resolve the issue in the least destructive way possible
English

@KzBreakdown @MonkeyDFuu @ChillingDillo @prototype_53 @AuthorXoXiee Funny how the writers say it's energybending then, guess the writers are lying as well. 🤷♂️
English

@BeastofOrem @MonkeyDFuu @ChillingDillo @prototype_53 @AuthorXoXiee youtu.be/3XYZMfXjXSc?fe…
Notice the dome around her and Kuvira, she’s airbending

YouTube
English

@BeastofOrem @MonkeyDFuu @ChillingDillo @prototype_53 @AuthorXoXiee That’s not what happened. Korra used airbending to deflect the beam and save herself and Kuvira. The portal opened because the cannon went wild and it’s detonation tore a new portal between the human and spirit worlds
English

@BeastofOrem @MonkeyDFuu @ChillingDillo @prototype_53 @AuthorXoXiee Not to mention Korra didn’t even create the vines, Unavaatu did by his own will. Outside of opening the portals, which is tangential at best, Korra has no link to the creation of the spirit weapon
English

@BeastofOrem @MonkeyDFuu @ChillingDillo @prototype_53 @AuthorXoXiee You’re essentially blaming the atomic bomb on Martin Heinrich Klaproth because he discovered Uranium 237 years ago, despite its radioactivity not being discovered till 1869 and its destructive power in 1934. How was one man supposed to know one metal would kill so many?
English

@BeastofOrem @MonkeyDFuu @ChillingDillo @prototype_53 @AuthorXoXiee I’m not ignoring anything. I’m pointing out that your speculations aren’t a valid basis for criticism when the full story hasn’t been released
English

@KzBreakdown @MonkeyDFuu @ChillingDillo @prototype_53 @AuthorXoXiee Ah, so now we ignore how everything turns out, got it.
English

@BeastofOrem @MonkeyDFuu @ChillingDillo @prototype_53 @AuthorXoXiee Blowing up half the city was Kuvira’s responsibility for playing with forces she didn’t understand.
As I’ve said countless times before, we don’t know what caused the state of the world in Seven Havens or Korra’s true role in it as the show has not been released yet
English

@KzBreakdown @MonkeyDFuu @ChillingDillo @prototype_53 @AuthorXoXiee The long term consequences were blowing up half a city and unleashing spirits on humanity. Recall in a generation humanity is decimated, so not exactly the flex you think it is.
English

@BeastofOrem @MonkeyDFuu @ChillingDillo @prototype_53 @AuthorXoXiee I think you need to learn what tourism is. It’s not just a business, it’s cultural exchange and education. Touring the spirit wilds is literally teaching people how to normalize living with and understand the spirits as the people of Republic City had done by the start of Book 4.
English

@KzBreakdown @MonkeyDFuu @ChillingDillo @prototype_53 @AuthorXoXiee ...as a result of what kkorra did, she just forced them together and metaphorically said "you gotta deal with it", and the industrialized people just went on doing their thing and started giving tours and charging for it.
English

@BeastofOrem @MonkeyDFuu @ChillingDillo @prototype_53 @AuthorXoXiee Choices which led to the betterment of the Southern Water Tribe and the world as a whole. Look at the long term consequences, not just the immediate ones
English

@KzBreakdown @MonkeyDFuu @ChillingDillo @prototype_53 @AuthorXoXiee And yet this doesn't change Koora's responsibility in her own choices.
English

@BeastofOrem @MonkeyDFuu @ChillingDillo @prototype_53 @AuthorXoXiee She saved the world and the Southern Water Tribe gained independence. Humans began to reconnect and learn to live with spirits. You’re too focused on the civil war, when what it achieved was better for the world at large.
English

@KzBreakdown @MonkeyDFuu @ChillingDillo @prototype_53 @AuthorXoXiee I didn't handwave them, that would be denying she got the information she needed. Your denying she has any responsibility for what her actions did.
English

@BeastofOrem @MonkeyDFuu @ChillingDillo @prototype_53 @AuthorXoXiee Considering he had her trust up until her attacking the judge, he probably would have been able to kill her with a sneak attack if she were still compliant and went with him to open the portal
English

@BeastofOrem @MonkeyDFuu @ChillingDillo @prototype_53 @AuthorXoXiee And you’re handwaving the consequences of her not acting as she did. If she hadn’t discovered the truth, the whole world might have ended. Unalaq literally stabbed her in the back as soon as she opened the northern portal and she only survived because she had befriended a spirit
English
