Met this kid as a baller at 8 yrs old, then coached him in HS. Now Paramount High the Pirates have made a HIRE for the ages. They went big, got one of the best coaches in the country. I'm happy to confirm that Malik "Fig"James is the new Head Football Coach at Paramount High.

Coach Angelo Gasca officially finishes 198-104 as Venice HS football coach since 2000. In reality, however, he contributed to MANY more Gondos victories and helped countless players win at life.

Angelo Gasca, who has been coaching football at Venice High for 36 years, died last night, according to his longtime friend Steve Clarkson. He was a special education teacher and coach. He helped countless students and players find their way in life. As I write this, I'm crying.
