Wanted to share this with you…I’m an immigrant from Veracruz, Mexico that moved to the U.S. fifteen years ago. I had nothing but a bag of clothes and dreams of ‘making it big’. My first home was New York City where I even got lost in the Subway a few times… LOL.

Im from #veracruz where I experienced #colorism at its fullest. Veracruz, port in #Mexico where Spanish brought in #black slaves, negation of our own #blackness is still prevalent, even in our families. So Very surprised to see how other #latinx peers who “support” #Diversity
