It was another routine patrol shift. Moments later, a car was engulfed in flames & @LAPDFoothill ofcrs had pulled a disabled man out. His wheelchair was lost in the burnt wreck, but quickly replaced by an officer’s donation. When asked, they had few words—“just doing our job”.

Concerned citizen heard a child crying and screaming in a local motel. Mission area officers responded to investigate. Upon arrival, the officers located a one year old child in a motel room in unsafe conditions. It was determined his mother had left the child unattended for....

Thanks to the generosity of CD6, Mission Area Officers provided gift cards for groceries for families in the community. The families were thankful for the Officers' thoughtfulness. @CaptainCortez1

LAPD Reserve Police Officer and his full-time partner working @LAPDMission Patrol. He has been working twice a week, 12 to 14 hour days. With "Safer at Home" and other precautions in place, reserves are suiting up to work their "second career," throughout the #LAPD.
