youtube.com/watch?v=IbP-da… This song was a collaboration between Kate Bush and Prince. This is the original demo she sent to him. Her request was that he add guitar and backing vocals, but he sent back something resembling the final version, totally reworked. 1990 and 1991 were a make or break moment in his career, and he was locked in and focused on making hits. I think you can hear that in the final version above. It's pretty interesting. As far as Prince goes, he managed to lock in and his 1991 album Diamonds and Pearls was big. It also saw him finally let go of some of his trademark 80s sounds. It would kickstart a new creative run that lasted through 1996. It's hard to argue against his 80s run, but for me, 1993 to 1995 is his creative peak.
