As a victim of the 2025 California Fire Storm, I hereby give all climatologists and climate activists permission to use this catastrophe to push for global climate action. I personally am dealing with lots of emergencies on the ground and can't, but please give it your all.

@mttgza @ClimateHuman I am 3rd generation Californian. To me, and every Californian I know, CA has changed dramatically in the last several decades. The increase in the intensity of wildfires alone has been shocking. But I understand why someone new to CA looking at only 17 yrs wouldn't see it.

@ClimateHuman Wait until you hear about the hurricanes that often hit the east coast! California has not changed substantially in the 17 years I've been here.

In August I moved from LA to North Carolina when my partner got a new job. But for me, it was time to leave. California has become too hot, fiery, aridified, and stormy due to fossil-fueled global heating. It breaks my heart. I came to CA 15 years ago for love of the outdoors.
